It was only a few moments since he had slept in the sweet embrace of death that he felt a strong force hit his face that he awakened from his slumber.
He opened his eyes to bright lights with a pale white foot in front of his face while he kneeled on the floor.
What awakened him was a kick to the face from the woman right in front of him.
"Are you that much of a pervert that you have frozen at the visage of my royal feet? Are you going to lick it or not? I haven't got all day."
Bewildered by the content of what the girl said and the familiar voice, Adam looked up to the source of that voice. What he saw shocked him to his core.
A pale white woman with blood red hair, an ample bossum that was a little too big for her supposed age, and her fat less cheekbones that gave her an aura of royalty and elegance, she wore a dress with a black base and intricate patterns on it in white, while having a few bright red roses all around her dress. Truly a woman whose beauty would put all women in his last life to shame.
As soon as Adam saw her face, he knew who she was.
Cassandra Ein Yenalova, the daughter of Duke Yenalova and the sole heir to the Yenalova family.
She was the villainess in the game 'Theatre of the Gods.'
For whatever reason, Adam's brain was on fire, and in a split second he made many deductions from the scene in front of him.
The way she talked to him in such a disrespectful tone, like he was just an insect under her feet, told him that he was none other than Adam Alastair Dacre.
The 2nd son of the Dacre count family, a complete waste, he was nothing but a puppy in heat for Cassandra throughout the entire storyline until he died in many different and creative ways.
The devs really had their fun with this character.
Sometimes he would be killed by the protagonist of the game, Jake Kennedy.
Sometimes he would be killed by Cassandra herself whenever Adam had fulfilled all her orders to gain her favor, and she felt that he was of no use to her.
Sometimes Adam was killed by his own brothers, whether it was his older brother or his younger brother; the point was redundant.
Adam was the one character in the game that everyone was out to kill one way or another.
It's not like it was hard to kill Adam either.
Adam Alastair Dacre had no combat ability.
He was a mental type mid-boss. He didn't have any mana or any physical prowess. All he had for himself was the legendary artifact Mesmer's Eye, which allowed him to mind control anyone and everyone with lower mental ability than him.
Excluding the protagonist since the protagonist had all of his game-breaking debuff resistance traits that gave him complete immunity to most debuffs in the game.
His boss fight was a cliché fight where he takes control of the heroes party members and the hero has to fight all of them and Adam.
A truly pathetic villain.
As Adam was recalling all the information regarding his character, a familiar holographic window popped up right in front of him.
Something about seeing it again really got on Adam's nerves. He couldn't help but think that this window had something to do with him ending up in this place after his untimely death.
|| PROLOGUE QUEST:
Objective: Protect what's left of your dignity and reject the advances of the villainess Cassandra Ein Yenalova.
Bonus Objective: Show your dominant side to Cassandra Ein Yenalova.
COMPLETION REWARD: SKILL SYNCHRONIZATION WITH HOST'S PAST LIFE.
Bonus Completion Reward: 60 causality energy
QUEST FAILURE: TRUE DEATH. ||
True death in the game usually means that the person who experiences true death has even their soul completely destroyed so that they can never join the cycle of reincarnation and will never have a next life. This is what was at stake for Adam if he failed to complete this quest that popped out of nowhere.
For some reason, even during such an outrageous situation, Adam was calm and collected while his mind raced through all possible outcomes of the current situation. In his mind, he muttered, 'CHARACTER OVERVIEW.'

It was at this moment that Adam realized that the system had the same sense of humor as him.
Regardless of the taunts hurled at him from the system, the quest was given, the game had begun, the curtains on the stage of The Theatre of the Gods had opened, and it was time for Adam to ruin all of it.
Let the game begin.
Kleinova is the world in which the game takes place in.
Should I put all the exposition in authors notes or should I put it in the chapters itself? I personally understand that readers don't like reading exposition dumps and would much rather focus on character interactions and events than the explanation of the setting and the world.
Exposition dumps go against the iron rule of writing that is 'show don't tell' but it's kind of hard to show things when all you have to relay your ideas is a wall of text. Can't wait for the day I make movies.
