Kapitel 127: An Ancient Beast(1)
Standing before Vanoss was a Dragon, Yes, a fucking Dragon.
Soul piercing crimson red eyes sit gracefully within the creature's rounded, long skull, which gives the creature a disciplined-looking appearance. Huge horns that resemble a crown sit atop its head, just above its thin, warped ears. Small fan-like skin and bone structures run down the sides of each of its jaw lines. Its nose is large and has two large, warped nostrils and there's a small crystal growth on its chin. Several huge teeth poke out from the side of its mouth and reveal only a fraction of the terror hiding inside.
A long neck runs down from its head and into a muscular body. The top is covered in smooth skin and a row of fan-like growths runs down its spine. Its bottom is covered in narrow scales and is colored lighter than the rest of its body. Six thick limbs carry its body and allow the creature to stand towering and poised. Each limb has 6 digits, each of which ends in thorny talons seemingly made of crystal. Enormous wings grew to start from its shoulders and end at the end of its shoulder blades. The wings are rounded, the inside is almost entirely see-through, especially when viewed from a distance.
Its graceful tail ends in a curled tip and is covered in the same smooth skin as its body. The most terrifying thing about the Dragon is its size, compared to Vanoss and the Dragon in size comparison, is like comparing an ant to an adult elephant.
This is one HUGE bitch!
The only times Vanoss has heard about dragons was in legends. In the legends and video games, dragons were described as powerful beings that could destroy an entire country.
Different from video games, this dragon here was way bigger than he had imagined. The tension that this dragon gave was a superior one which could make someone faint from the pressure. But the only thing that I felt was none other than curiosity.
Staring at the eyes of the black dragon which were also staring right back at him, it spoke.
[Do you not understand my language, mortal?]
The fact that this dragon could speak means it has some intelligence.
"Um... yes." Vanoss answered him without budging from his spot.
The black dragon lowered its head a bit so it could see him a bit better.
[Then let me ask you a question!] Its voice echoed a little as the dragon seemed to be pissed off about something. [What is a mere mortal doing on my territory so soon?] The dragon asked him while leaking a bit of killing intent directed at him.
"Why do I have to tell you that?" Vanoss immediately responded to the dragon without a care, for some reason, the killing intent that the Dragon emits that trembled space itself and could overwhelm or kill Vanoss instantly was somehow has no effect, but he didn't mind it.
[Oh? A mere mortal dares to talk this way to a dragon?]
An intense killing intent was released by the dragon the moment it heard his response.
"Quit your rambling, you damn lizard." Vanoss said as he started taking slow steps towards the dragon. "I don't have a lot of time to waste man, I'm here to find my friends, not here to fight a Godzilla rip-off. And second of all, it's completely unfair, because look at you! You are as tall as four Empire State Buildings!"
[Okay... that's it! You have pissed me, one of the four great Dragon Emperors, the creator of this Dungeon off, and now you will feel his wrath!]
"...Hm, how cliche."
Just then, before Vanoss could realize, he felt a sudden chill followed by a gigantic tail that would easily decimate an entire skyscraper cutting through the air and coming right in front of his eyes.
"SHIT!"
It was fast, even for Vanoss. He tried dodging with all I could!
Swoosh!
Gathering the wind under his feet, Vanoss immediately propelled himself in the air, and the dragon's tail missed him with an air breath, only for it to smash against the ground and explode, causing the shrapnels to scatter in the air near Vanoss.
[Oh? So you managed to dodge that?] The Dragon said. Even though it had a massive body, the dragon was way faster than anything Vanoss has ever seen. The man already knew that this dragon wasn't taking him seriously since if it did, he would have ended up getting crushed like mash potatoes in no time.
In mid-air, Vanoss skillfully jumps from the shattered rocks to one another until he reaches the height of the Dragon, then grabbing the hilt of his sword which is still sheathe, Vanoss used his special skill in a real battle for the first time.

A clicking noise reverberated the area, and to the Dragon's slight surprise, Vanoss' body turned into a flashing light before flying above the Dragon at the speed described as lightning. However, to the Dragon, he could see Vanoss clear as day, if it wants to, it can stop him and kill him fairly easily, but curiosity gets the best of him as he tries to observe what his little food's intention is.
After using [Everlasting Strike], Vanoss appeared in the air, just behind the Dragon's back. Bringing out his Mega AK-47, he began to shoot hundreds of rounds at his back with a scream. However, it didn't seem to have any effect.
"What a disappointment." The dragon muttered boredly. Within an instant, his head came towards Vanoss with his mouth open, which made him immediately feel the immense crisis coming at him; he could not dodge this one as he was in mid-air.
But before Vanoss would end up inside the dragon's mouth, Vanoss' eyes caught another rock in the air near his feet which he used as a thing to change his direction. Using one of his legs to push against that rock, he pushed himself away and used his special skill for the second time.
Click!
The clicking noise once again echoed the dungeon as Vanoss had now appeared above the Dragon before landing onto its back.
The Dragon, noticing that it was on its back, turned its head 180 degrees and headed towards Vanoss who immediately jumped just in time to not get eaten alive.
Taking out a Chainsaw from his inventory, Vanoss strikes at its back. For seconds, nothing happened, the god damn lizard's scales are tough like a bitch, but when he looked forward, Vanoss felt another chill as his eyes lay on the Dragon's, glaring at him menacingly.
"...hi."
"ROOAARRRR!"
Raising its hand, the Dragon attempted to crush Vanoss with it but he immediately used his skill again to avoid it and appeared in front of one of his eyes.
Bringing out Jackal, Vanoss points the gun at his eyes and shoots right at it, only for the round to simply bounce off like it was made out of hardened steel.
"Fuck."
Grumbling in annoyance, the Dragon picks up a bit more speed enough for Vanoss of couldn't react in time as he grabs him and yeet him across the room in the far distance and crashes into a wall.
At first, the Dragon thought that Vanoss died from the impact and was disappointed quickly, but changed his opinion when he noticed the man was still alive.
'Hm, not bad. An E-rank like him would've died immediately from that throw from an S-rank being like me. I wonder how he survived that.' The Dragon contemplated. Although it seems unusual to see a weaker being survive from the strength of the world ending monster like the Dragon, it still doesn't seem worthy enough for him.
Back to Vanoss, as he opened his eyes, Vanoss noticed he was embedded into a wall, when he glanced at the front, he noticed the monster gazed at him. The Dragon opened its mouth, and was about to blow out a black beam of light.
"Oh shit!" Exclaimed Vanoss, he tries to get off from the wall. Unfortunately, it seemed he was embedded in it and couldn't get out. Watching as the Dragon was about to blast it's dangerous attack, Vanoss got something in mind, taking out a Chorus fruit, he immediately ate it without hesitation, which teleports him to a random area just in time to avoid the massive beam of light.
By the time it blasted the area where Vanoss was, everything in several kilometers around it was instantly disintegrated into black particles.
"What the fuck?" Vanoss gave a glance behind and could not help and sucked in a breath of fresh air
The entire region where he was struck suddenly turned deathly silent. The grass and trees corroded in a disgusting sight, while the beasts fell on the ground, they seemed to be uninjured but what made Vanoss feel a sudden chill was the look of their eyes, like they were soulless. It made Vanoss feel his scalp tingle in fear, what a dangerous breath that was. If he was late by a millisecond he would have disintegrated in an instant.
[I rather say, you were like the first weakest beings I saw that managed to avoid my [Soulbreaking Breath], I'm impressed for a little insignificant being.]
"Yeah, yeah, I get that." Drinking a couple of healing and mana potions to recover himself, Vanoss brought out a soul sand and wither skulls before once again used his special skill, but instead of avoiding or attacking, he used it to create a hundred Withers in a split second.
After summoning an army of Withers, the Withers swarmed all over the Dragon and began firing their wither skulls at it, but it seemed it was still rather ineffective against him.
[D-rank monsters? You love making me bored, mortal.] The Dragon furrowed his brows with a bored look. Opening his mouth again, he once again unleashed his [Soulbreaking Breath] and vaporized all the Withers in seconds.
After annihilating all of the Withers, the Dragon peered around to see no sign of Vanoss until he felt his presence behind him.
"Surprise bitch!"
Carrying a Rocket Launcher, Vanoss pressed the trigger and shot a rocket right at the back of the Dragon's head.
BOOM!
The cloud of smoke from the rocket began to settle down, revealing the Dragon's annoying look.
[You little shit.]
Even though the Dragon was caught off guard by Vanoss' little diversion and suffered an attack in which he didn't feel a thing, he quickly regained his calm and immediately launched an attack by swinging its tail.
"WHAT THE FU-" Vanoss' sentence was immediately cut off by the tail of the Dragon. Do note that his tail was enormous and was extremely thick like ten tree trunks. Yet its speed was so fast that it left a trail of afterimages as it swept past.
In just a moment, the tail fiercely smashed into Vanoss' body.
BANG!
Vanoss was sent flying once again before he crashed into a hill of gold coins. As he raised his hand and wiped his lips, a drop of blood was visible on the back of his hand.
"You are really getting on my nerves," The Dragon's eyes narrowed and his aura turned stronger, killing the Withers around him. While he was not taking his opponent seriously, he felt a bad feeling about this if he continued to be arrogant.
Back to Vanoss, he broke out of the hill of gold coins and shook himself off to take the coins from body. As he was finished, he turned to his left and saw something massive, an enormous object that might even bring fear to the Gods themselves.
This enormous object is a cannon, the same cannon that the Dragon seemed interested in, which is the BFG-10000.

Recognizing the weapon of destruction, Vanoss' curved his lips into a grin, so evilly that he might feel turned on.
While the Dragon is distracted from the Withers, Vanoss uses this as an opportunity to enter the BFG-10000's control pod, Vanoss sees a joystick with a red button on it. He then holds the joystick and moves it to the left, making the BFG turn to the left and pointing the massive weapon of destruction at the direction of the Dragon.
"SEE YA, MOTHAFUCKA!"
With a press of the red button on the joystick, the BFG-10000 powers up into its full capacity and fires an enormous pillar of green plasma, traveling at the speed exceeded light itself.
[What the!? How did you activate the wea-] The Dragon was startled. He could feel the air behind twisted and churned. But as the dragon slightly turned, its snake-like crimson eyes flickered with surprise as there was a blinding green light heading towards him. Facing behind him, his eyes watches as a terrifying tide of energy travels at his direction and landed on his chest.
He was desperately tried to avoid it. Unfortunately for the Dragon, it was already too late.
