"…Pardon?"

Lior circled around himself in tiny hops, anxiously mumbling unrecognizable words.

-Can I tell him? Can I? Uh, I... I should tell him...? Why?

The child halted, confused. He tilted his adorable head, flapping his fluffy ears.

-Uhhhh.... Alrighty, thank you, The Voice! Urgh, you better not be a liar!

The child happily bid farewell. He even waved a paw in the air despite his voice carrying a lingerance of suspicion. 

"…."

What? What was going on? Is there someone inside the tent that Alaric can't see? Someone invisible? No, did he say the voices? In his head?

It was somewhat… frightening. Alaric could feel goosebumps rising on his arms.

"Who… were you talking to again?"

Lior, finally having calmed down, sat on the ground after one last round of hopping around himself. He held his ears, wagging his tail.

-I told you, it was the voices.

"...Voices in your head?"

-Yes.
