Kapitel 83: The surface dwellers

Kevin and the others backed away to a safe distance and took cover behind the destroyed sedans. Craig looked at Shane for confirmation and received the nod of approval. 

"Charges primed. Detonating in 3...2...1!" With that final countdown, Craig pressed the button on the remote detonator, triggering both the C-4 charges at once. 

A loud explosion rattled their eardrums as the plastic explosives ripped through the barricade. Shards of metal and pieces of hardened asphalt shot outward as dust and smoke filled the air. 

"Take that you bloody bots! There's no wall strong enough for us!" Craig cried out triumphantly as the dust cleared away. 

The C4 explosives had punched a massive hole in the middle of the barricade. It was large enough to fit a double-decker electric truck.

"Let's go people!" Shane ordered.
