Kapitel 310: Strictly business

Karrik was utterly unprepared for this shocking turn of events. K's unexpected arrival had caused a sudden shift in the power dynamics. Karrik realized he no longer had the situation under control and had no choice but to take the back seat.

The security team quickly rushed into the arena and surrounded Karrik from all sides. Everywhere he looked, he saw silver gray barrels staring back at him. There was little he could do to voice his protest. The ball was now firmly in K's court.

With all the spectators still seated in the stands and the cameras still rolling, the whole city now had its eyes on this vital interaction between Karrik and K. 

Karrik wasn't afraid of dying for a cause, but what troubled him was the way in which K had made a fool of him and was now holding him on a tight leash. All he could do was to clench his fists and face the shameful music.
