Kapitel 89: Inviting danger

The twins standing inside the charging station had been eagerly watching the duel from behind the glass doors. They were sure the female android would come out on top. The fight could have ended in many ways, but a fire truck dropping out of the sky was the last thing they expected.

"Is she dead?" Mira asked.

"That depends on whether she was ever 'alive'," Cairo retorted. 

Whether an android could be treated as a living being had been a matter of great conjecture in the past few months. Some believed they were merely advanced machines that mimicked human behavior, while others were convinced they were artificial life forms capable of independent thought, expression, and decision making.
