Kapitel 160: Distorted memories

In his comatose state, Kevin's alternate personality became dominant over his actual self. All his repressed emotions were let loose inside his mind, and he slowly felt his grip on reality slipping away like sand. He wanted to rewind time and go back to that happy place where he would be safe and secure amidst his loved ones.

Kevin's mind conjured up the fondest memories he had of his parents. He wanted to experience that bliss again. He wanted to feel loved and forget all about the troubles of his present life. It was a twisted wish fulfillment, an intricate lie hanging by a thread. But Kevin was happy to abandon his reality and chase a beautiful mirage if it meant he could forget his sorrows.
