Under the midmorning sun, the once-feared patriarch of the Chen Family sat prominently at the head of the overtly designed garden table, looking down at the so-called elders of the family.

The butler who relayed the message has been at the old man’s side for a large number of years. From the tapping of his index finger on the table, he could tell that his boss was utterly displeased with those around him and the new visitors. The butler patiently waited for his next instructions.
