Zander squeezed my hand before clearing his voice to speak. "Tru asked who you work for, Dr. Frankler," he said, reminding us of my original question.

Our host leaned back in her seat and crossed her legs. "Like Ira and the rest of Polaris, my goal is to help supernaturals and all those affected by them--"

"Nons," butted in Ruthie, nodding matter-of-factly. "Short for supernaturals."

The doctor straightened with a scowl. "Where did you hear that?" she snapped.
