The gate for floor 3 was inside the building and Alex entered it carefully. He looked at the map on his screen and it showed that he needed to head deeper into the building. The gate was likely held in the depths of the basement.

“This place is dark. Is the electricity not working?”

Kalidus asked as he followed Alex. He looked around the dark place and held Merry closer to his chest. He could not help but feel paranoid after taking every single step.

“It’s likely that the whole energy structure of the city has been cut off due to the rebel’s attack. We will have to run around in this darkness until we find our destination.”

Alex did have a flashlight and a few luminescence-emitting crystals he could use, but he wanted to save them until it was truly necessary. That was why he decided to keep on moving in the dark.
