Kapitel 51: Chapter 51

Looking at the field in front of me was nice and relaxing. The nice pasture, the animals grazing, and the sky above cast a nice view of everything. It's a nice way to relax and calm the mind. Something about watching cows just graze on grass does something for my brain. I don't know why, but I could watch it for hours.

I was just leaning on the fence, looking at the field when I heard this weird voice interrupting my nice and peaceful viewing. Of course, it wasn't Shuna, it was a little slime.

"Artoria! Stop spacing out and answer my question!". Rimuru loudly and calmly said to me.

"First of all, don't shout at me like that. There's no reason at this point in time for you to shout at me like that. Second, be nicer, it's not like we're in some kind of urgent situation.". I told him and quickly got back to looking at the field.

Rimuru breathed in and out, trying to calm himself down. "What do you mean by 'this point in time'? Whatever, look, I have a question.".

"What is it?".

"So, you're a divine spirit, right? I assume that's at the top of all spirits. You're like the head honcho or whatever.".

"That would be the spirit queen, Ramiris, actually. She's the 'head honcho' as you say.".

"Does that mean you answer to her or have to follow her orders or something?".

I just let out a small chuckle at that "Bless your heart, Rimuru, but no. She's also a demon lord to, but you don't need to worry about that. Just get on with your question.".

Rimuru was shocked at this information, but he let it go since he seemed to have another issue to focus on. "Ok, um…uh…so, since you're a divine spirit, I assume you know a bit about spirits and all that stuff. What I want to say is, that if someone who was summoned to this world couldn't control the magic in their bodies, could a spirit be used to help them control it?".

'Ah, so this is what this is about.' I looked away from the field and back at Rimuru. "Well-". I was going to say something, but one of the goblins in charge of the farms came rushing up to us.

"Lady Pendragon, Lord Rimuru, we need your help with something! One of the cows is acting a bit off and we don't why! Can you help us?".

I looked over at Rimuru who clearly didn't know what to do in a situation like this. Judging by the way he was fumbling around a bit, he was trying to think of something. Sometimes I forget that he has a super extra advanced AI in his head.

"Is the cow pregnant?", I asked the goblin and saw Rimuru look at me a bit confused before interrupting us.

"Hold on, Artoria, I don't want to sound mean or anything, but don't we have other things to worry about? Like, Clayman and possibly Falmuth and the church?".

"Rimuru, we still have a lot of time. You're acting like all this will happen in a day or two and while I want to hit Clayman fast, that doesn't mean we stop everything and do it now. I'll go see what's wrong with the cow. You can come along and I'll tell you about all that spirit stuff.".

"Alright, fine.".

He might now like how this might go now that I think about it.

Well, the goblin told me that the cow was pregnant, but that shouldn't be much of an issue. They know what to do already. I taught them some things about this. That is what I would normally say, but something was clearly off about the cow when I saw it. We were in a barn and the first thing to do was to check the pregnancy and make sure that was okay.

"Ok, so about the spirit stuff. Can you explain it to me?". Rimuru was off to the side, just witnessing the whole thing.

"Huh, oh yeah, your idea will totally work. Just make sure it's a higher-ranking spirit. The ones that look more humanoid.". I answered his question and turned to the goblin. "Do you have something to cover my arm? Like a long glove or sleeve? Something that goes up to my upper arm.".

"Yeah, give me a second.". The goblin went off to find the glove.

"Alright, so how do I find these spirits? Can you just… I don't know, call them or summon them or something like that?".

"Good question, but no. You'll need to go to the dwelling of spirits to summon them.". I told him and then saw the goblin coming back with what I asked for. "Thank you.". I put on the glove on my left arm and got some lube.

"And where is the dwelling of spirits?". He asked me, but he quickly stopped when he saw my preparation. "What are you going to do?".

"The dwelling of spirits is in the Republic of Ulgracia. It's south of the Sorcerous Dynasty of Sarion which is to the west of us. You'll love that country by the way.". I told him and it's time I checked out this cow. "You might want to look away, Rimuru. I got a tiny feeling you might not be used to this.". I put some lube on the glove and I put my arm into the cow's behind.

"So how far would it-Oh my god, what are you doing!". Rimuru shouted throughout the whole barn and I'm sure the whole town heard it as well.

"A simple exam, Rimuru. Don't worry I've done this before, It doesn't hurt the cow. Besides, It's not that big a deal.". I told him while continuing to feel around for any signs of abnormality.

"Nope I'm out of here.". Rimuru ran away from the barn as fast as possible. I don't really understand. It's just a simple test, there's nothing weird about this. Some of the goblins that work on the farm do it occasionally. I continued to feel around and then found the reason for it.

'Woah, I don't see that every day. The times this I've seen this happen can be counted on one hand'.

I took out my arm and took off the glove and disposed of it. "The cow is pregnant with twins. Make sure she gets more nutrition and monitor her when she gives birth. It might be necessary to have one of the calves feed on another cow or be on a bottle until it grows. Other than that, she'll be fine.". I told the goblin who just nodded and with that, I left the place.

So Rimuru's going to visit Englassia soon on his quest to save Shizu's students. That trip should take him a few months. He's going to have to become a teacher to get close to the kids and make a connection before he goes to save their lives.

Wait a minute. The kids. Chloe! All that time travel and time loop shenanigans! At least it's not that complicated. It's mainly just a loop trying to make sure Rimuru succeeds in becoming stronger and developing the kingdom and stuff like that.

It's not as hard to understand, unlike some other franchises. *cough* Fate Stay/Night *cough*. How did it go? Shiro Emiya became Archer after winning the holy grail war and became a hero but only after making a contract with Alaya, but he didn't like the way he had to be a hero, so he goes back in time to kill his younger self and cause a paradox to break the contract, but not really cause the Shiro that goes back in time to kill his younger version is from a different timeline, which causes other timelines Shiro to always have a chance to become Archer and some where he doesn't.

Or something like that. I don't know. There's probably one or two details I'm missing. I didn't even bother to read the visual novel. I don't care if there's a threesome with Rin and Saber.

Anyway, that shouldn't be a problem, since I'm maybe kind of not part of Chloe or Chronoa's original timeline, but that's only small details.

Well, not to sound like someone who goes behind someone's back, I need to act when he leaves. This will be a bit tough. When he leaves, it will be a tight window to act on. At that point, Falmuth and the Holy Church will start their preparation to attack us. This is going to end up being a war on two fronts if I wait too long. We have to deal with Clayman first and then Falmuth. We're going to have to hit Clayman fast and hard, while at the same time keeping up a defense against Falmuth.

We got some time so it's fine, but I need to start making plans now and fast, so we can execute it with no problems. The biggest problem I can think of is a certain country close to Clayman. So we have to hit him fast and hard enough so that he can't call for some kind of backup and if he does, we would've hit him hard enough to make any assistance not worthwhile. There's no point in helping out when it's a lost cause, at least in this context.
