The truth was that Lun was not supposed to be there. The royal infirmary was only for the Avger family but the king and queen probably knew that their sons would turn the kingdom upside down if it meant getting Lun the best treatment and to avoid all the fuss they probably decided to bring him in of their own accord. 

It was completely empty, just two guards standing in front of the door. When Xan and Kai entered the bright light hit their eyes, the clean smell of a hospital room was almost disgusting while the crown prince could smell his lover's blood soaking the gauzes that wrapped around his injured body. Lun was laid on a bed in the far back, his eyes closed. He didn't respond to their footsteps nor to the call of his name. He didn't react as Kai grabbed his hand, it was almost as if he was dead, Xan thought and his breath stopped in his throat.
