Kapitel 271: Displaced

Olivera awoke with a start. Someone was knocking on her door.

It wasn't a friendly knock. It was the kind of knock that a creditor usually pounded on the door of the debtor.

Who was she owing? She thought, getting out of the bed quickly, despite the fact that there were carpenters working in her head. She walked in long strides toward the door and opened it.

There in front of her was Azeera and one of the servants. Olivera balked at the sight. She had hoped never to see Azeera again. She had hoped that Raul would take care of her, at least after what Leonard had mentioned last night.

To think that he hadn't done her the small favour of taking Azeera out of the palace, he must really detest her, or wasn't he aware of this charade this morning?
