Kapitel 11: Goddess Of Vows
"Shu, I heard we might be able to commune with the God of vows and possibly gain a blessing, however, only one person will be able to get it! No one knows the criteria for selection but I hope I get it!" Tatsumi said excitedly.
"Wouldn't the blessing be quite strong if it's coming from the God of Vows?" Shu said curiously
"Well yeah, the more serious the vows you make the different outcomes that can happen!"
"GET SOME REST, GOD" Berig yelled loudly.
"Okay okay" they both laughed while speaking back to him
In the morning all five hundred and forty three cadets formed up taking turns walking into a chamber to try to speak with the god. After hours of people going in and out there were only two cadets left, Shu and Tatsumi stood there proudly.
"Tatsumi in you go, try hard." the sergeant barked at him.
"Good luck friend." Shu said staring proudly at his friend.
"I got this" Tatsumi said with a massive smile on his face
Tatsumi steps into the chamber, a massive blinding light striking his face making it unable to see anything in the room. Tatsumi tries to move around walking into walls stumbling around while calling out,
"Hello, are you here? If you are please respond"
After twenty minutes of being inside he ended up stumbling back outside as the sergeant and the captains sigh and speak coldy,
"Another year, no cadets receiving her blessing."
Shu steps forward entering into the chamber after Tatsumi looking worried yet confident.
"Hello?" Shu says calmly
"Hello there, what is your name?" A soft gentle voice asks
"M-my name is Shu, my god"
"Hello Shu, I am actually the goddess of vows, I would like to choose you for my blessing, as you already know i'm sure, the more you mean the vows and uphold them the stronger the blessing. Now I ask you, what will your vows to me be?" The voice asks sweetly
"I, Cadet Shu, swear to obey my king's commands, dedicate my life and soul to this kingdom, and to never betray the wishes of my king, to enhance it further I stake my life on these vows, my sanity, and my honor."
"Very well, your vows are complete, stay safe, Shu."
The light dissipates as Shu walks out smiling brightly. He begins walking towards the captains and kneels before them before speaking,
"I have claimed her blessing and have said my vows to her, I will obey the king."
"Very good, your training resumes as planned until the next mission, get to it." the captain speaks firmly
After seven weeks of hellish training with real weapons and being healed after every sparring match, Shu has become stronger and so has Tatsumi they both stand there smiling as the captain walks in and speaks,
"We have missions for company five, Slay the bandit tribe residing in the mountains, squash the goblin horde close to ares river, and end the small rebellion in The town of Kain"
Company fives faces all light up that they finally get to move out and do missions instead of hellish mana and physical training and begin to prepare to leave. They put months worth of rations and their gear in the back of the carriage and climb in all with smiles on their faces laughing peacefully. The carriage heads out of the massive forts gates and begins down the road towards the fork, in which case they must take the right path towards the mountains to take down the bandits.
"I heard this bandit tribe is lead by a massive ogre of a man towering at seven feet tall with massive teeth bearing a giant war axe and is able to cut through any armor. His name, Flerg!" Ariel said smiling
"I also heard he ate children and used their youth as power!" said Berig smirking about the stories.
"Yeah yeah in the end he will be like all the others, nothing more than a simple human." Tatsumi said giggling slightly
"We will win no matter what and we will become true knights of the kingdom." Shu said with great ambition.
Tatsumi lay there leaning against his bag of supplies staring at the top of the carriage smiling lost in thought. He begins to think to himself,
"She was so beautiful I wish to see her again, I want to see her again. I might just be in love haha."
Shu looks over to his right seeing that Sasha has fallen asleep on Berigs arm as Berig leans his head against the wall smiling.
"Psst Tatsumi, look at the loving couple over there, about time no?" Shu Said smiling brightly
"Honestly though, I don't even think she realizes how much Berig has a soft spot for her! I'm going to follow their example though and get some rest, you should do the same, Shu."
Tatsumi begins closing his eyes to fall asleep.
All the way at the capital of the Rekya Kingdom the king sits in his throne awaiting special people that are planned to appear at the castle.
"Your Highness, I Introduce the envoys of Aleriya.'
Through the golden doors of the castle in walk four diamond knights and five young beautiful women and an older refined lady.
"My name is Enid, the queen of Aleriya, I brought to you my daughters for you to pick whom to marry for our alliance." she said sounding slightly disgusted as she motioned for her daughters to step forward and take off their hoods revealing their faces.
The King sits in his throne looking at the beautiful women licking his lips barely looking at their faces but somewhere else, as he does this the diamond knights get ready to charge him as the queen motions for them to halt. The king looks over the far right and sees the most beautiful woman with black silky hair and purple eyes with a beautiful body. He might as well be leaning all the way over drooling as he ogles her sending shivers down her spine as she looks at him.
"I-I want her. The one on the far right, what is her name?" the king says stammering
The queen walks towards her and puts her hands on her shoulders and speaks softly in her ear,
"I'm sorry my dear girl, you only have to be here for awhile and if he hurts you, let us know and we will come in with an army. Go introduce yourself my dear."
The fair lady steps forth bowing before the king and speaks softly,
"My name is suzumi..my king."
Her eyes shaking in fear and disgust as he stares daggers into her before saying,
"After the missions from the great fort are over pick out a guard for her, a skilled young boy to be by her side, yet trustworthy." The king says in raspy voice smirking
"yes sir!" the kings attendant shouts loudly.
Suzumi stands there looking downwards worried thinking to herself,
"I wish those cadets never came, they were almost done buying some of the elite forces to let us into the castle.."
She closes her eyes tears slightly forming.
