-Back with Qiu Feng.-
He awoke with the suns gradual rise. The carriage was still moving, a bit unsteady but moving nonetheless. The guard was still unconscious perhaps even asleep. He wound was uncomfortable and very sore. Dry blood covered his bandage and his shirt, making any movements hard. Propping himself up unsteady he didn't recognize the surroundings. Looking down at the guard he thought about his current situation.

The more he thought the worse he felt. Thinking about his thought process yesterday he felt bad for himself. The whole dramatic 'I know nobody and might as well sacrifice myself so Guan Chen can get away' thought process was a big wake up slap.

All those seemingly small and insignificant thoughts of, 'so he can be happy,' 'if he didn't come back with me i'm not sure what i would do,' 'i hope things stay like this for a long time,' 'I'm no longer alone because he's here.' had unconsciously made him drive himself into a corner.

Although he was aware he had placed the two of them in the same boat he wasn't aware how much he had begun to rely on him. In fact he was scared, he was scared of being alone in this whole new world. He had forced himself to think along the lines of 'with Guan Chen here everything is fine'
desperately holding onto the small piece of fact that he was originally a 'she' who came from another world.

'She' was scared of losing 'her' identity, something only 'she' remembered.
Suddenly he felt tears pricking his eyes, his nose soured and tear began to stream down.
A low horse cry sounded and he began to mourn the fact he was truly all alone, in a world that wasn't his own. It was his crying that woke the guard. Startled the guard looked left and right but couldn't see a thing.

Awoken by the guards movements Qiu Feng was embarrassed by his crying and quickly moved to kicked the gaurd out again. But, this quick movement instead upset his arm and he let out a loud shout in pain.

"Arg!Fuck!" Accidentally cursing he bowed over, sweat beading his forehead. He knocked the guards head against the wooden floor of the wagon a few times before deciding to leave the guard as he was. He unskillful mounted the horse that he had ridden the day before and spurred it to go faster.
'I need to get rid of this guard, i can mope about myself after…' The crease in his forehead that hadn't disappeared since yesterday grew deeper as his thoughts grew dark.

A little unwilling he looked behind him, seeing an empty road he sighed.
He had done what he had first wanted to do,
which was to help his favorite character escape from his suffering. And now, in the face of his own suffering he decided to burry his fear and move forward. He would think about going back later.

As he road he saw a few shacks in the distance, the sign of a town. Excited he stopped the horse and thought to himself.

'I need to go into that town, but as i am covered in blood…sigh, i will need money and new cloths.'
He looked backwards at the guard. Suddenly and idea struck him. Taking the guards armor off he placed it on himself unskillful and road forward.

Stopping at a restaurant he decided to sell the carriage but keep the horse for travel. After he stepped inside he made a beeline towards a dark corner to listen to the lively chatter going on. Eventually he learned that the village he was in was called Fen village and it seemed it was awfully close to the commanders house-seeing as all the gossip going around was about this commander. And if he guess correctly this commander was no one other than Wing Liu.

Uneasy he left and then eventually threw the guard off to the side of the road then sold the carriage and the kept the one horse. As he left the town he stopped for a moment before Stabbing the guards sword into the ground and placing the guard helmet on top. If Guan Chen followed him then he should see this and recognize it.

Tearing his cloths he debated before deciding to use his blood to write a simple few words-'Rou Lin /winter'.

Deciding it was enough he hid it in the helmet and road away. He would return to the house this winter, he knew that he couldn't go back as he was now. He couldn't bring himself to face Guan Chen either.

-Back with Guan Chen-

The sun had yet to rise but the sky was already lit. He continued to follow the trail. Eventually after many many hours of walking he was thirsty, hungry, and very worried. The surroundings he was in were close to a town, and this town was close to Wing Lius manor. As he walked he abruptly stoped. A lone sword was stabbed into the ground, a helmet placed on top. It was very odd looking and out of place but Guan Chen knew immediately that the one who placed it there was Qiu Feng.

He ran over and after doing a once over hesitantly removed the helmet. He recognized this helmet and sword. It was the same as the one he was wearing, it must have been from the other guard. Qiu Feng was fine.

A bit more relaxed he noticed a torn piece of cloth.
Written in blood were the words 'Rou Lin/ Winter'.
He became silent.
It seemed that Qiu Feng had also realized the problem between the two of them. As for how Guan Chen knew this… all he could think was that it was just this feeling, this feeling that they understood the other very well.

Slightly unable to relax he weighed his options. He knew that Wing Lius plan must be almost complete. They were really at the last stage, after this movement the court would fall. Finally he gritted his teeth and walked into town. He needed to settle his business with Wing Liu, otherwise both he and Qiu Feng were in danger. After all what could two people do against a general of a whole army and lots of connections?

He set off into town. He needed to buy a horse if he wanted to reach the general's home soon.
