After dinner, Tang Beibei cleaned up the kitchen and put the rings in her pocket.

She then went upstairs to the study and was about to speak when she heard Jiang Jingchen's phone ring.

Seeing that he had picked up the call, she looked down at her pocket. The corners of her lips curled up as she looked forward to giving him the ring later.

Tang Beibei was engrossed in her studies when Jiang Jingchen looked up at her with a slight frown as he listened to the voice on his phone.

The woman on the phone was still talking, "Song Hai helped Madam buy a pair of couple rings. The two of them then left for dinner, chatting, and laughing the whole time."

He hung up the phone, wheeled himself to the table and looked at the woman with a penetrating gaze.

Tang Beibei felt his gaze on her and shuddered before she looked at him in confusion.
