Kapitel 44: Chapter 44: Leonel's Luna

Leonel POV

No. How could she say no?

I asked Clare to be my Luna again and she still said no. I thought after the last couple of days that we had actually progressed and that she had accepted me finally.

Was I na?ve?

“Damn it, Leonel, focus,” Brian’s tense voice said from beside me. “I can feel your emotions through the link.”

Fuck. I forgot about the Alpha and Beta bond sometimes. The only one I was worried about lately was the mate bond. I knew he was right though.

We had a spy to catch.

“Sorry, I’m here,” I replied as we jogged through the building and over to the training grounds. “Tell me everything.”

“I don’t know everything myself yet,” Brian began. “All I know is that one of the patrol guards caught Troy talking to somebody on a burner phone. He overheard him giving whoever it was information on the wolves, on Avondale…and then an update on Clare.”

I nearly stopped dead in my tracks. “Clare? What would they want with Clare?”
