Kapitel 79: Chapter 78
Fiona woke up in her bed rubbing her head, it had finally stopped aching, she looked outside the window, it was early morning, and the sky was still dark outside, but the early birds had started chirping which told her what time it was. She sat upright stretching her arms, she had never slept for so long and her body had never worked so hard before.
There was a noise at her window and she jerked her head towards it, she crawled to the window, her bed was right underneath it, and looked outside, to find a hungover James lying there. He opened her eyes and looked at her smiling.
"I finally found you," he said and closed his eyes again.
"You should take it easy you know and why were you looking for me?" she asked.
"It's a big day, you have got to drink, and I was looking for you because we don't have too many girls like you in the city, I mean there are many who fight but they are a bit too, you know manly or uptight," he groaned with his eyes closed.
"I think you are still drunk and have no idea what you are talking about," she said amused, she was used to getting attention from boys and has always kind of liked it at the village.
"No really, me and Dean were both talking about you, we even had a fight and then split away looking for you, and I got lucky and found your room first," he said drunkenly smiling and almost slipping off the ledge.
"You are going to fall, come inside," she said and pulled him onto her bed and gave him some water to drink. He opened his eyes and looked at her and his eyes got wide. She looked down and saw that her boobs were on display at least he was keeping his eyes open for longer than a second now.
"If you are fine now, you should leave," she said. and he nodded staring at her tits with rasped attention. Boys are the same everywhere, she thought.
"How about just one kiss?" he asked.
"Fine," she said. She just wanted to see what it would be like to kiss a half-breed. She found out it wasn't much difference, his tongue was a bit longer and his teeth a bit sharper, he tried to touch her boob but she slapped his hand away, he tried again and she let him catch a feel and then broke the kiss.
"That should be enough now," she said a bit sternly and he nodded and jumped out the window looking like he had found a treasure.
"Wait till I tell Dean about it, he'll be so jealous," he shouted and left. Fiona dressed up and went to look for Ron, but she didn't find him in his room, only Isanna was there. Derek was sitting in the common room, writing something.
"What are you doing?" she asked.
"Writing a reply, I just got a letter from the old man, apparently a lot has happened in the north since I was gone, but it can't be helped since being here is important too," he replied.
"Is Ash all right?" she asked scared.
"Yeah, it looks like he is doing more than fine," he said smiling.
"When will we be seeing him?" she asked.
"Soon, but first we need to sort out the situation here, I'll take you with me once it's all over, I need to see him too and lie in my bed for a good sleep," said Derek.
"Do you know where Ron is?" she asked.
"I sent him on a little errand if you don't mind I have an errand for you too," he said.
"Sure, what is it?" she asked.
"I want you to do that possessing thing," he said.
"Oh, on what?" she asked.
"See, if you think about it, it's a very brilliant ability, I can think of a dozen uses for it, I would give my one hand for it," he said.
"I am not very good at it yet, especially with big animals," she said.
"Well this should be perfect then, I want you to take over a rat, there are a lot in this castle apparently," he said.
"A rat! Why?" she asked.
"Take over a rat and then I want you to sneak into an office and eavesdrop on someone, and we should hurry now, we don't want to miss any important information," he said.
"So spying is what you were talking about," she said.
"Well it's a part of the job," he said shrugging.
So, fifteen minutes later, Fiona was in the body of a small rat running around in the walls trying to find her way to the main office, where the Duke was having a meeting with his ministers.
Derek had given her a crude map, which he had made from memory, but it was meant for humans, not rats, she didn't want to go into a corridor and get trampled to death by a maid. She then had an idea, instead of possessing a rat first and then finding a way to the office, she looked for a rat that was near the office already and then possessed him. The rats had made a hole in the shelves behind the books in the library which she found out about by going through its memories.
She entered the office through that and started listening to the conversation going on in the room.
"I have sent Barnes and Yanos themselves to the capital to get some answers from them," Lufius was telling the ministers and the Duke.
"Yanos is too hot-headed," said one of the ministers, a goat type.
"That's why I sent Barnes along, Yanos is just to send the message that we demand answers," said Lufius.
"No, it's right what you did, we have to show that we are angry, I couldn't have dreamed Ramon to be behaving like this," said the Duke.
"So, the previous messenger didn't say anything, there has to be something else happening, I mean his daughter was here too, one month ago they were planning to send a small party with her just for her protection, and what about the queen?" asked another minister.
"We have no information at all, we can only conjecture," said the Duke.
Fiona had listened enough there was no new information then they already knew and she came back and told Derek the same.
"I had figured," he said rubbing his chin.
"Do you know something else?" asked Fiona to Derek.
"Not the whole picture yet, but I have got some sources working on it, well you did a good job, I'll go and send this letter," said Derek and left.
When Ron came back in the tower there was no one there, Fiona's room was empty so he had to go to his room. Isanna was awake and sitting on the floor cross-legged meditating.
"You could go without training for a day you know, we need it more than you," Ron said to her, he was glad she was trying to act normal, he also wanted some normalcy between them for some time.
"No, I faced someone yesterday who used my mind against me, there are not only physical attacks out there, we must make our minds strong too, come and meditate with me," she said pulling him down to sit in front of her.
"Do you have to be naked for this?" he asked.
"What are you talking about I am wearing pants?" she said.
"What about those huge tits then?" he asked.
"Ron, language!" she shouted her boobs shaking and Ron laughing.
