Kapitel 106: Chapter 105
The third level was much smaller then the others, and the party wasn't just happenning in the common area like the bottom levels, instead there were decorated tents and huts set up here which were being used too. There was heavy smoke coming out of one of them and there was one in the back which wasn't lit up like the others. There was a small stage set up in the centre on which there were a group of girls dancing, and they were not dwarves, they looked human but Cara wondered if they might be druids, their bodies were covered in colors and it was difficult to see whether they were wearing anything. Cara wasn't interested in women but even she couldn't take her eyes off their graceful movements, the way they were moving their bodies and limbs, it looked mesmerizing. The music wasn't too loud here and Cara found that she liked it here much better. There weren't too many people here and they all seemed used to this sort of situation so she wasn't getting any stares.
The food here was much better too, some of the things she had never seen, probably from the other kingdoms.
"Wow, they really go all out for this don't they? Now I really want to know who organizes this all?" said Vivian.
"Silvers and Irons I suppose, " guessed Morris.
"Nah, this is too much, and I mean if it has been going on for so long, then the iron and silvers who got older would still know that this is happening, if you think about it, I don't think this party is all that hidden, it's probably only the younger ones who don't know about it, I bet everyone older knows about it, like our parents, in fact they might have been in such party themselves, " said Vivian.
Cara could definitely not imagine her parents in a parth like this, especially her mother, she kind of felt sick thinking about them, Morris was thinking the same thing because he looked unsure too.
Thinking about her family, Cara caught sight of a head of hair all too familiar to her. It was Stevin accompanied by Jared, Cara quickly hid behind Morris.
"What is it?" he asked.
"Shh, just stay still for a second," she said. Jared too Stevin away, they were headed to the back of the area and Cara wanted to know what Stevin was upto, she wanted to see the girl he had a crush on.
"You see those two guys, " she pointes them to Morris.
"Yeah, isn't that your brother?" Morris asked.
"Yeah, follow them," she said. So she and Morris separated from Flint and Vivian and followed Stevin and Jared quietly.
They stopped near a big yellow tent, there were a lot of people at the entrance trying to get in. Cara noticed there were a lot more dwarves from other mountains here, since they were in Walaur, their numbers had been more in densitu naturally, but as they got into the more exclusive parts of the party, the numbers balanced out. She was sure that there weren't too many restrictions to other clan dwarves especially the girls.
They entered the tent a little after Stevin and Jared. Cara had thought that Stevin was kidding about the druids but then she had seen the dancers but their was still doubt in her head until she walked in the tent, because there were clearly druids here. They didn't had colorson their skin and were wearing ornaments and clothes made out of leaves and other forest things which clearly told everyone what they were. They were also a little distinct from humans because of their weird eye colors, and the way they moved.
It wasn't something they could pinpoint but they had a different energy to them.
Every druid had a small group surrounding them wanting for their attention.
Morris and Cara remained in a corner watching everything.
"Well now I won't say this had been a waste, " said Morris.
"Why? Because you got to see naked druids?" she asked.
"No, because I got to see druids, I would have been in serious doubt all the rest of the year if you guys had told me about them, " said Morris.
They hadn't noticed someone approach them in the crowd until they were right in front of them. It was a druid with light blue and green eyes, here hairs had a wet green color. She had to be a water druid.
"Hello, " she greeted them slowly, touching her glass to their glasses. They had no idea if this was a traditional greeting among them but they went along.
"I saw you guys fight in the battle today, " she stated in a dreamy voice.
"You were there? In the crowd?" Cara ended up asking.
"Yeah, under a heavy hood, my name is Rose by the way, " she said laughing.
"I'm Cara, " "I'm Morris, " they introduced themselves.
"I don't usually come for the festival, I have no interest in the party but the fights are good sometimes so I come to watch them, " she said.
"Rose, that is a unique name, " Morris commented.
"My mother chose that name, it's her favorite flower," she replied.
Cara was sure Morris was also just as unsettled at talking to a druid, that's why he was asking these kind of questions.
"So you live in a forest?" he asked next.
"Well technically in a river, but it's in a forest yes," she said.
"Near the Guar mountain?" he asked.
"Yes it touches the Guar mountain, but it's pretty big, the river flows through a lot of places, there are many mountains around it, " she said.
"I bet you must have seen some really amazing beasts in there, " said Morris.
Cara suddenly got more interested in the conversation.
"Yeah, all kinds of beautiful animals and birds, I see you are interested in nature, that's a trait we druid really appreciate, but if you want to know more about animals you should ask my mom, she is an animal druid, " she said.
"An animal druid? I have never heard of them, but aren't you a water druid?" he asked.
"Yes I am, we don't always take after our parents, and an animal druid is rare yes," she said.
"So is your mother here?" he asked.
"No, of course not, did you bring your parents here? And if you think you are going to have a chance with my mother," she started to say taking Morris's interest the wrong way.
"No, I just wanted to ask her about mythical beasts, " said Morris hurriedly.
"Mythical beasts?" she asked taken aback.
"Yeah, I was wondering if they were real, " he said.
"They aren't, I haven't seen any in my whole life, but you can ask my mother if you want to, you would just have to leave this mountain and travel very far, " she said.
"Where can we find you, if we do leave?" he asked.
"Hmm, well if you are that desperate for the answer I guess I can show you the way, but she can refuse you if she wants, and for the adress just come to the river in the forests near the Gaur mountain range, put your hand in the water and say my name, I'll come and get you, " she said and left.
"Well, there you go, I told you this could be useful, " said Morris.
"You do think far, but it all depends on whether we manage to leave the mountain or not, " siad Cara.
