"Sir, I don't understand." Wesley stood next to him, looking dashing in his expensive suit. If not for their blood, they could have been brothers from how they had bonded through the years. Or more like father and son since his assistant was still considerably younger than him.

His most trusted assistant immediately came to his side when Ms. Middleton excused herself from his presence to join her friends. But he could tell she did not like what he had told her.

Still, he doubted she would heed his words and let go of his grandson without a fight. But that was her prerogative, but he knew his grandson. His relationship with her would only end up with her in misery.

"What don't you understand?" The Count asked as his smile grew bigger at what he had witnessed on the dance floor. But somehow, he could guess what his assistant was asking.
