The helicopter took off from the imperial hospital's roof. Feng Xi and Prince Jin sat on one side while the guards sat on the other side of the helicopter. In the middle was Feng Xi's father, Feng Shun. Feng Xi was monitoring his health closely. The ride to Prince Jin's Palace would take thirty minutes. Since it was further away from the Imperial Palace than all the other Prince's palaces. He did this on purpose so that he would not be easily bothered and the defense of the palace was much stronger as well.
"Once we land I will need to rush my father right into the room you had prepared for him. These portable life supports are not good to be on for…." Feng Xi paused her words. The emergency siren went off causing her to look out through the window. Her eyes went wide when she saw an object flying right towards them.
"Evade! Pull up! Now!" Feng Xi screamed into the mic. The object flying towards them was no bird! it was a missile!
Prince Jin's face went black he pulled Feng Xi into his arms and held on tightly to the gurney in front of him. The bodyguards all reached out for the gurney as well. "Xi'er whatever you do not let go of me!"
The pilot did his best to pull the helicopter up but it was too late, the missile smashed into the tail end exploding on contact taking out the tail. The helicopter spun out of control, sending it towards the ground of a wooded area. Feng Xi was struggling to try to get out of Prince Jin's embrace to cover her father and hold on to the Life support system but Prince Jin refused to let her go.
"Jin'er let go of me! If he is taken off life support he will die!" Feng Xi screamed. Her eyes were full of tears and fear. She cared not for her own life at this time she only wanted to make sure her father did not die.
Prince Jin became angry as he yelled out. "I will never let go! Xi'er you are my life now you die I will die with you! Plus look! The people who work for you are doing their jobs! "
Feng Xi looked at the Qiu sisters and the other three guards, they were all holding down the gurney and the life support system making sure it did not go anywhere. She watched as they struggled to hold it down while trying to keep themselves from being tossed around as well. Feng Xi wanted to rush forward to help but Prince Jin refused to let her go. She knew he was doing this to protect her but she still wanted to rush forward no matter what. She was worried about her father. She was worried that his life support would fail.
"Hang on tight everyone we are setting down and it will be a little bumpy!" The pilot yelled over the headset. With these words, Feng Xi watched as her bodyguards surrounded the gurney and quickly strapped themselves to the hooks on the bottom of the helicopter to anchor themselves down as they held tightly as they could on to the gurney. The gurney itself was locked in but they wanted to be safe than sorry.
Seeing this Feng Xi held on to Prince Jin tightly as the helicopter continued to spin around. All they heard was the sound of wood breaking and scraping against metal as the helicopter smashed into the treetops. It stopped spinning and then started to tumble down to the ground rolling down in between two large trees. Feng Xi was struggling to check on her father as she rose and fell into the air until the helicopter finally came to a stop, luckily landing right side up.
"Everyone okay back there?" The pilot's voice came over the headset again. "If you're okay it would be best to move. Whoever attacked us will surely send people this way soon."
Feng Xi felt a bit dizzy since she hit her head on the wall a few times. But she quickly looked Prince JIn up and down to make sure he was okay as she asked: "Jin'er you okay?"
"I am, go check on your father." Prince Jin said as he gave her a smile. Feng Xi nodded and quickly unfastened her seat belt and went over to the gurney. Only when she saw that everything was okay did she finally let out a sigh of relief. She then looked over at the Qiu Sisters and the other three guards and asked: "How are you? Is anyone hurt?"
"Boss, we're good! Just a little rattled. We need to gear up and move out or we will be sitting ducks in here. I can already smell gas leaking out as well so we need to move and move fast." An old veteran named Gu Chao said with a light chuckle. Feng Xi looked at the rest and they all nodded as well. Seeing this she finally gave a faint smile.
Prince Jin came behind her and put his hand on the small of her back and said: "Grab what you can, we will need to place it on the gurney for now. I will help undo the gurney, while they get the weapons out. Do you know how to use a pistol?"
"Yes, I have, I have never used one to kill anyone before. But I have no problems taking a human life." Feng Xi answered as she leaned into Prince Jin.
"Just aim and shoot if you need to. Otherwise, just leave the rest to your team. I will help you push the gurney. " Prince Jin bent down and began unfastening the gurney from the helicopter.
Each and every one of them worked quickly and they quickly got the gurney out of the helicopter. The pilot joined up with them and took a pistol as well. This pilot was one of Prince Jin's people and was also well trained. "We need to head northeast about six kilometers and we will be on the outer edge of your palace, your Highness. "
"Alright, then make a call and have a team head towards us. I have a feeling we will be stuck in a heavy crossfire soon."
Last Feng Xi for today until I wake up later! Enjoy!
