Khai stood in the deserted parking lot a few miles away from Monserrat prison, scanning the area for onlookers as he waited for Austin. The sound of footsteps made him turn around, and he saw Austin sprinting towards him.
"He's on the eighth floor - it's a climb. Are you sure you want to do this?" Austin asked.
Khai nodded. "What time is the guard change scheduled for?"
"In thirty minutes. You only have a fourteen-minute window. Once you touch the wall, the security runes will be enabled. Here's the blueprint," Austin said, handing him a map. "The path is narrow, so be careful not to deviate."
Khai studied the map, but quickly dismissed it. "That one's too risky. It has both metal and fire traps."
Austin scratched his head, examining the map more closely. "No, it's not. How did you..."
Khai folded the map to reveal a concealed section. Austin's shoulders slumped. "What are we going to do now?"
"Is the roof protected by the same rune?"
