Suffer consequences worse than death…
He was the president of a multinational group while she was just an ordinary person. If he wanted to, he definitely had the ability to do so.
But what could she do? She didn't have any strong backing to resist.
As her thoughts reached this point, Shi Xiaonian squeezed her eyes shut while firmly grasping the trench coat in her hands, wishing to rip it, but she couldn't.

The imperial castle stood as magnificently as always amongst the hundreds of acres of deep forestry— all of which was private property. Outsiders were forbidden from entering here.
If this was normal times, Shi Xiaonian would've felt honoured to receive the privilege of entering the castle. But now, escaping its confines was her greatest wish,
During her 'imprisonment', her methods of escape ranged from asking for help from the guards to grabbing the phone in an attempt to call the police, none of which worked as she was quickly subdued.
Why did a weak woman like her need so many bodyguards anyway?
The last words a bodyguard bothered to tell her were, "Miss Shi, I advise that you refrain from provoking President Gong any further. Even if you escape, if he wants you captured, there is no hill that you can run to that can hide you; if he wants you dead, there is no rock that you can shelter under to protect you. Why the unnecessary resistance?"
Those words alone extinguished any remaining hopes she had of escaping.
She was violated but couldn't retaliate. She also couldn't escape even if she wanted to. All this was akin to a nightmare.
Shi Xiaonian was escorted into an elevator and pushed into a luxurious room that bore semblance to that of a western palace's in the 14th century.
In the room stood an old man in his sixties. Though old, his posture was straight and his hands were folded neatly behind his back— the first word that came to mind when observing his disciplined behaviour was 'butler'.
Miss Shi, greetings. I am Young Master Gong's housekeeper, Feng De." The old man wore a mellow smile as he gave a brief introduction. He stretched his hand towards a specific location, "Please have a seat."
Shi Xiaonian noticed that there was a piece of high tech machine situated next to the old man. There was a recliner paired with a flat-screen display that showed rows of numbers and analytical graphs that she couldn't comprehend at first glance.
She made a vague guess about what it was.
"This is a polygraph chair, please sit down."
Feng De gestured politely, his attitude the complete opposite of the arrogant and unreasonable Gong Ou.
"What is that you want?"
Worry brewed in Shi Xiaonian's heart.
"The young master said that Miss Shi refused to admit giving birth three years ago and asked for you to be tested," Feng De explained patiently.
It was about the child again…
Before this, she had only seen Gong Ou on television news and in the newspaper. She had never seen him in person let alone have his child.
"You got it wrong."
Shi Xiaonian mumbled in a low voice. She felt wronged and frustrated.
The bodyguards pushed her into the polygraph chair before wrapping her fingers, arms, and body in its restraints so that she couldn't move.
Shi Xiaonian instinctively struggled but her muscles were still sore from the fight against Gong Ou at the Khan Steaming Hall. She collapsed, leaning resignedly into the chair as if she was a dying fish on the chopping board.
"I'll start asking Miss Shi the questions now." Feng De smiled kindly as he took out a document and opened it.
"Can I leave after answering?"
Feng De smiled at her but didn't respond.
"Name?"
"Shi Xiaonian."
Feng De monitored the screen next to him for a moment before nodding. He continued to ask, "Miss Shi, what were you doing three years ago?"
"Three years ago, I created a comic called 'His Exclusive Desire'." It didn't take long for her to remember since the series made her popular for a while.
"Other than that, did anything notable occur?" Feng De asked again.
I was planning to do two chapters today but I got tired. I prefer quality over quantity so I didn't bother. When I'm up and awake again expect more chapters soon.
You can also sponsor reserved chapters to support me over at Ko-fi. Thanks!
