"But he is to blame, how can you not blame your ex husband for ruining your marriage and ruining your family?" 

Elaine looked straight at her, "because I love him, I love both my husband and my son. This is what love does to people Scarlett, it makes you a fool. So tell me, do you want to be a fool like me?"

Scarlett couldn't find the right words to convey Elaine what she really felt. It's not like there's much going on in her mind though. She knows what Elaine is going through and it hurts her seeing how beyond helpless she is.

"What happened Scarlett?" Elaine asked, "don't just stand there frozen."

"I'm perfectly fine, I just don't understand why you would compare your ex-husband with your own son?" Scarlett asked, she didn't like how Elaine thinks of her own son.
