Max experienced a mix of surprise and happiness.

The reason Max was surprised was because he had the simulator.
He could check detailed information about Lucy's stats, growth, and everything else.
With these statistics, he previously calculated that Lucy needed to absorb at least two mountains before reaching E-rank. That's why he was so angry when she died.

Max ignored the simulator's advice. He had his plans, but for now, he picked the rewards.

The stats are obviously the best choice.
while Max had some plans for (blessed).
this ability will definitely provide the best growth environment for his new pets, and even for himself, if he ever decides to start using meditation techniques like normal pet masters, or maybe become a cultivator or something of a sort.
anyway this ability is super useful, and this is a good opportunity to get it.
Lucy's vacant eyes regained focus.
Max didn't check her stats first, but calmed Lucy down.

Lucy tilted her head, confused at Max's actions.
Just now she felt her new ability and wanted to test it, but stopped and listened to Max's words.
If the F-rank Lucy can harm him if she hit him by mistake, the E-rank Lucy will send him on an eternal vacation to the afterlife.
Max tried to simplify and explain Lucy's current situation to her.
