Cleopatra's eyes blinked again. He laughed awkwardly in response to my words, before finally sitting next to me with his back leaning against the wall like me. He tilted his head to one side as a question.
"You mean, Jace?" Then laugh again. "Calm down. You misrepresented our relationship. I mean, my feelings for him. Right?"
My lips curved into a chuckle. "Weren't you the one who said Jace was attractive?"
"Small," Cleopatra whispered and sighed in annoyance. "Yes. Not that I like him, right? Elsie, you know me more than I know myself." His hand grabbed my palm, gripping it tightly. "Jace isn't my type. You know that."
