Kapitel 48: False Accusation

Jeff's car stopped in front of my fence. Before I go out, I first observe the condition of the house which seems to be deserted. The clock in the car was one midnight. Once again I thank Jeff for taking me home. I used to take a taxi home when Dad had my car keys confiscated. As a result of my habit that didn't go away, he was forced to take my car and suggested that I go and come home from school with Cleo.

    "Thanks again," I said with a genuine smile. As my right hand pressed against the car doorknob, Jeff grabbed my left hand which made me stop and turn to face him.

    Suddenly he pressed his lips against mine, kissing me very gently. I gasped to get a kiss from him. And if I think about it again, the way he kissed me this time was very different. Unhurried, soulful, as if he wanted to confirm to me that the kiss was very sincere for me.
