Kapitel 29: Chapter 29- Love in Air

Berk Island, Next Day

Zagreus, Hiccup and Gobber had woken up early and had already eaten their breakfast, which consisted of bread, fruit and fish.

By the time the three of them were at the Forge fixing the last broken weapons while Gobber was melting down the ones that weren't good enough to make a new one, Hiccup wouldn't stop talking during the Forge process and obviously it was about the new relationship between him and Ruffnut.

"Zagreus, I still can't believe this is happening! I thought she would be mad at me, anyone would have been mad if they were kissed like that."

"Hiccup my friend, you might not have noticed and I also didn't want to intrude as it would spoil the fun of the situation, but Ruffnut showed interest in you at all times and that's all I witnessed."

"So when you kissed her, it was just the trigger she needed to accept her own feelings for you without fear that you won't accept them."

Zagreus stated confidently as he remembered Astrid and what a similar situation it was to Hiccup, the weak boy who over time was not looking so weak and frail, said in reply to Zagreus.

"That makes sense, but I know I was pretty obvious about it and I thought she knew I liked her."

Hiccup said it rhetorically and thoughtfully before remembering something involving his friend that could be called best friend at the moment and told Zagreus with a smile on his face.

"But enough about me, you and Astrid in? I never thought it would be so fast, tell me how it happened."

Zagreus laughs at his friend's antics and begins to talk about what happened in the forest the day before and how he promised to meet Astrid's parents.

"Ruffnut said I can meet her mom when I can, her mom or my mother-in-law seems to like me already just because my dad is Stoick. But I still want to prove to her that I'm more than that, that I'm more than that. that only son of Stoick the Vast!"

Zagreus nods in agreement with Hiccup's words as he already knew his friend's desire for recognition that he wanted to be more than the shadow father shadow.

Their conversation is interrupted by Gobber who has finished his duties at the Forge.

"Come on, you two, that's enough. You can gossip about your love lives later little girls, now we need to go to the Arena!"

The Blacksmith says in an angry voice but which contained his pride for the two boys, it seems he saw Zagreus and Hiccup as his own children.

"I caught up with you guys later, Ruffnut wants me to stop by her house before I go, I'll enjoy it and meet her mother real quick."

Stoick's son said as he took off his Blacksmith's Apron and fixed his hair in the reflection of his clothes, it seems that the boy was caring a lot about his appearance.

Gobber and Zagreus face each other and start snickering as they nudge Hiccup and tease him.

"Okay stop, stop. Nothing will happen, she just wants to accompany me and that's it."

Hiccup says embarrassed at their antics while Gobber and Zagreus laugh at the boy's expense.

The Blacksmith and the Demigod walk to the Arena and when they get there they don't see anyone waiting for them and decide to wait a bit before opening the Arena.

Gradually the group arrives and the first ones to arrive are Snotlout and Fishlegs, Zagreus talked with them a bit until Astrid arrived and then he went to talk to her while waiting for the missing people.

Gobber decides to open the Arena and wait inside, they wait in position ready with their shields and weapons after a few minutes of waiting and then Tuffnut enters the Arena quickly while making a lame excuse about his lateness.

Everyone at the Arena was already aware of Hiccup picking up Ruffnut at home and now Tuffnut arriving alone and confused as to why his friends would have such reactions could only mean one thing.

And the answer came a few minutes later with a Hiccup with his coat and helmet out of place, with messy hair following alongside Tuffnut with equally messy hair and helmet out of place and all that along with a little detail that is the The two teenagers' lips being swollen showed what they were really doing.

Gobber smiles with pride for Hiccup but decides not to comment, he climbs outside the Arena and with his left hand resting on a lever he finally speaks.

"Now that everyone has arrived, let's start today's Training. Today is teamwork. Now, a wet dragon's head can't light your fire. The Hideous Zippleback is extremelyextremely

complicated. One head breathes gas, the other lights up. Your job is to find out what it is."

He finishes saying as he pulls the lever and smoke starts to pour out of the cell covering the entire Arena and reducing everyone's visibility.

The group of teenagers had a bucket in one hand and shields in the other, the objective of this training was not simply to defeat a Zippleback but to train your perception to defeat the Dragon with strategy and ease.

The groups were divided into: Astrid and Zagreus, Hiccup and Ruffnut, Snotlout and Fishlegs while Tuffnut was alone.

Snotlout was trying hard to stay focused while looking for any sign of the Dragon but Fishlegs beside him was very nervous with the lack of visibility affecting him even more and he starts talking out loud to calm himself down.

"Sharp, serrated teeth that inject poison for pre-digestion. Prefers the ambush attack, crushing its victims..."

"That Dragon is nothing, he won't be able to do anything to us, if that dragon shows any of his faces I will....he's there."

Snotlout and Fishlegs empty the water from the buckets in the shadows that formed in the Arena that looked similar to the Dragon they were facing but after a few seconds the fog dissipates and shows a wet and angry Hiccup and Ruffnut.

"It's us idiots!"

Ruffnut said to both of them angrily and Snotlout quickly responded to her as he laughed.

"Your ass is getting bigger. We thought you were a dragon, not that there's anything wrong with having drac curves....."

Snotlout doesn't even finish his sentence because the next moment he gets punched in the nose by Ruffnut, he falls to the ground due to the unexpected blow and the girl tells him.

"I prefer that you don't talk about me and especially about my body, I have no interest in you in that sense so have respect for me and my boyfriend right by my side."

And at that moment a tail knocks them down and in the next instant a scream is heard in the Arena.

"OH I'M HURT! I'M SO HURT!"

Screaming with all his strength, Tuffnut passes the four as he hobbles to the other side of the Arena.

"Our chances of survival are dwindling to single digits now."

Fishlegs says to no one in particular and Hiccup responds to him right away.

"Thank you so much for your encouraging words Fishlegs, but could you keep them for yourself?"

Fishlegs nods as he cowers in fear of what is to come, and in the next moment one of the Zippleback's heads emerges from the mist. Fishlegs even in fear fling water their Dragon's face, and the Dragon releases green gas from its mouth in angry growls.

"Oh no. Wrong head!"

Fishlegs states with arms drooping in displeasure, the Dragon's head in front of him releases a large jet of green gas in his face, and Fishlegs runs away screaming.

The head turns its attention to Hiccup and the other head appears, spitting electrical sparks as they glared at the boy.

"Fish legs! Now, Hiccup!"

Gobber yells from above as he sees Zippleback surrounding Hiccup, the Son of Stoick who was getting stronger every day then throws the bucket at his head which generated sparks which ended up making his head unusable.

But although the Zippleback can no longer generate the explosion, its teeth are still in perfect working order and so Hiccup's closest head moves forward with the intention of sinking its teeth into the boy's flesh, but at this point Zagreus decides to act before the situation get worse.

And with his improved vision able to see through the mist, Zagreus throws the shield at the head that was attacking Hiccup and hits it square in the jaw with enough force to knock the Dragon out, using his electromagnetic powers he manipulates the shield back into his hand while jumped above the other head that was confused and using the weight of his own body to land right on the Dragon's head and passed out too.

Astrid comes running and when she arrives ready for the fight, realizes that the battle is over when she sees Zagreus standing over the passed out Zippleback, she huffs in frustration but in the end ends up smiling about this situation.

Gobber descends to the Arena and congratulates them on the way they acted in practice while at the same time showing them where they went wrong, after Gobber's lecture and a quick wound check of which only Tuffnut was injured and quickly healed by Zagreus, they chat a little and the Demigod ends up hearing Snotlout say.

"I have to go soon, my mom needs my help to change a part of the roof at home since my dad is away."

Zagreus on hearing this remembers that he had lost his mind with Snotlout and offended his mother, even though Snotlout was sometimes an idiot, he had never insulted anyone's family and just showed that he wanted to be better than him and Zagreus shouldn't have if offended by this although sometimes Snotlout is an asshole yet the demigod was wrong.

Zagreus knows he was wrong in the situation and now sees it even more when Snotlout has matured and treats him normally, he remembers his master's teachings saying: 'The greatest mark of a hero is humility!', so he couldn't dishonor his lessons and decided to apologize to him, so he says.

"Snotlout, wait! I need to talk to you!"

Zagreus said seriously while calling Snotlout who only responded with a nod hoping the Demigod would continue.

"I would like to apologize for insulting your mother, even though I didn't like what I was doing I had no right to involve your mother. I'm jealous that you can have a loving and good mother to you, I lost my mother a few years ago and it still affects me today, I hope you'll forgive me that we can remain friends!"

Snotlout got a surprised and shocked expression at Zagreus' words, for a person like Snotlout who lives in a society where strength is respected so it's shocking to him that someone as strong as Zagreus would apologize to him and even admit he was jealous or something like that, to tell the truth he had already forgotten about it and decided to move on so he says.

"It's alright man, you don't need to apologize and besides I've already forgotten about it, about your mother passing away, I'm sorry and if you need someone to talk about it I want you to know that I'll be here my friend !"

Snotlout said as he rested his hand on Zagreus' shoulder while smiling calmly, the Demigod smiled with that and said goodbye, walking towards his girlfriend who was looking at him with a smile, he looks at her smiling face and asks confused.

"What's up? What's the reason for your smile on your face, fell in love with me again?"

"Haha, that's not it you silly, I just thought it was very kind of you to apologize, I don't think anyone in your place would have done that and I like that part of you."

Astrid said as she straightened the collar of Zagreus' shirt and smiled at him, the Demigod smiles at her and says.

"Ohoo, finally admitting you like me? That's a step away, and about apologizing...we have to realize when we're wrong and while we can't change what we've done, we can resolve the situation in the present."

Astrid smiled at Zagreus' words and was proud of her maturity and the person her boyfriend was, she gives him a peck and takes his hand as she says.

"You already know about my feelings and I don't need to tell you to further boost your ego. And let's get going because you told me you'd tell me today and don't think I forgot! Hunf!"

Zagreus smiles again at his girlfriend's cuteness as he escorts her into the forest to show her his Dragon friend.

Hey, how are you on this beautiful Wednesday afternoon? i hope i well and taking care of yourself.

I've been thinking and deciding to adapt my chapter posting calendar, I was posting on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday or Wednesday, and it doesn't work for me that way because I'm back from college in person, so the chapters turn on Sunday, Wednesday and maybe Saturday. So it will be an average of 2 3 Chapters per week (for the extra / bonus chapter). And remembering that if we reach the goal of 200 power stones, the extra chapter will only be posted next week due to the same reason, but other than that everything is normal.
