"...Shouko?"

A light poke on her cheek brought Shouko back to reality. She was caught in a daze for a second before she blinked her eyes, staring at Kyoya in puzzlement.

"Ah? Did you say something?"

Kyoya pursed his lips. His gaze was careful as he was peering at his wife. 

While Akari and the children were leaving, he saw Shouko stared far off the distance. Her expression wasn't good. Seeing her like that made him felt uncomfortable. 

Did she think of their son when she saw the children?

"What were you thinking just now?" Kyoya softened his voice. He curved up his lips into a smile, showing a calm temperament to her despite warning signs ringing in his mind, "Is something bothering you?"

Shouko blinked again. She wanted to shook her head, to ease his worry but before she could do so, her conscience forbade her.
