Kapitel 25: What Is This Feeling
Spencer put the box back as he didn't plan on telling anyone where he hid the page. He knew if the word went out then there would be a higher chance the enemy would somehow find out how to destroy Jess. He didn't want any chances as he felt he still had to make it up to her for saving HIS life. This is the most he could do as she is much more powerful on the battle field. "What are you two doing in here?" Spencer looked back as he saw Shay looking at the two confused.
"Ohh uhh I'm just showing Jess a few new things?" Spencer said knowing he should keep the location of the page a secret.
"Really? What did you show her?" He asked as he walked closer to the two.
"Well actually she found out what ice was. It was interesting to watch." Spencer said as he thought back to how cute she was acting.
"Really? Do you think I can help? I'd like to see her a little more, you know this new side of her." Shay said while looking at Jess.
"Yeah, what do you have in mind?"

The two made a game of it. They seemed to be enjoying themselves as they were coming up with different things to give her.
"Do you think she can taste alcohol? Or can get drunk?" Spencer asked.
"Only one way of finding out." Shay said while pouring a small bit of Rum in a glass. "Hey Jess can you try this?" He asked as he placed the glass in front of her. She looked at the glass weird as she hesitated to take a sip. While she placed the glass against her lips the second the liquid hit her mouth she didn't seem effected as she let the liquid in her mouth. She looked at the two while holding the liquid in her mouth. "Jess did you swallow?" Shay asked as he realized she was holding the burning liquid on her tongue. She shook her head. Both boys laughed. "Swallow it." Shay said. Jess didn't reject his request, however, she showed a disturbed face as she felt the tingling in her mouth and the burning going down her throat. She shook her head as she gagged. "Wow, that was a late reaction." Shay said while laughing due to her her funny face as she pushed the glass away.
"Do you think she can taste when she swallows but not if it's in her mouth?" Shay asked.
"Maybe, that's what it seemed like." Spencer said as he took the glass.
"Jess how do you feel?" Shay asked while looking down at her.
She shook her head as she crossed her arms like a five year old. "I hated it!"
The two boys chuckled again. Jess looked away embarrassed. "Do you think Bebe has ice cream?" Shay asked.
"Oh course she does, she's a single girl." Spencer said as he walked over to the fridge.
"Wait, so she IS single?" Shay asked.
Spencer looked back at Shay. "Yeah, why?"
Heat smacked Shay's face as he averted his eyes away from Spencer. "Uhh, no reason." He said.
Spencer grinned as Shay was a terrible liar. "You like her don't you?" He bluntly stated.
Shay's eyes widen as he looked at Spencer. "Uhh d-don't judge me, please."
"I'm not judging you. I mean you two have similar interests. Oh course you'd like each other. Do you think you'll tell her how you feel?"
Shay looked away shyly. "I don't know how. I can barely speak to a pretty girl. The thought of confessing to someone like her. Or anyone in general is terrifying. What if she rejects me?"
"Why would she? She accepted your rose after all."
"Yeah but I assumed she was just being nice."
"And now she's wearing it in her hair. Oh yeah, of course she's ONLY being nice. Because when a girl doesn't like a guy she would wear the rose he made her in her hair." Spencer said full of sarcasm.
"Wait, so your telling me she actually likes me?" Shay asked as he looked back at Spencer. He saw Spencer grab a small chocolate ice cream tub.
"Do I have to spell this out for you? She wears something meaningful in her hair. She constantly looks at you, she waits for you and is all over you. Also did you not know that a sourcer's life is wrapped around their book? That's the most meaningful item they possess at all times. When she put your drawing of that flower in her book, that was her basically saying you already won her over. I can't believe you didn't catch that." Spencer said while placing the ice cream tub in front of Jess. Jess looked at the tub confused. Spencer walked over to the counter. "Ask me and I think you should talk to her tonight. Maybe make her something else and confess or something." He said while grabbing a spoon.
"But... I don't know if the words will come out right." Shay said while feeling his heart beating fast just thinking about telling her how he felt.
"Dude, you don't need to find the right words. It's as simple as, 'I was wondering if you wanted to go on a date or something.' You don't have to be weird and go on and on about how pretty you think she is."
Shay felt his face burning in heat as he grew embarrassed. He saw Spencer open the ice cream while stabbing the spoon in the dessert. Spencer looked over at Shay, "why don't you go ahead and enjoy yourself. I can keep her company."
Shay smiled as his heart warmed up. "Thank you."
"It's no problem, good luck." Spencer said as he sat next to Jess.
Shay gave a small smile as he realized something from the beginning. 'He really seems to care for Jess...almost as if he likes her.' "You too." Shay said. Spencer's reaction made Shay prediction correct as he saw Spencer blush slightly. With that Shay left the house. Shay sighed out loud as he looked off in the distance seeing Wendy, Bebe and Nicole all talking to one another. Taking the first step forward was the scariest moment as he realized he wanted to give her something. Something that meant the world to him. If she accepted it then she would be accepting to be with him till the end.
