His final class for the day was over, and he walked briskly to the exit. Once he was out from the building, he felt much better. The evening air was refreshing.
“Gage!”
Calian’s voice startled Gage out of his reverie. Gage quickly turned toward the voice. Then he smiled.
“Hey, man. What’s up? Why are you here?”
“Not much. Just waiting for you.”
Gage was delighted, but he was also a little confused. “Thanks. I appreciate that, but why? I thought we agreed to meet outside of Flynn’s apartment building.”
“We did, but I finished my job less than ten minutes ago, and I figured I should just wait for you right here before we head over to Flynn’s place together.”
“Cool.”
