When Si Junyan returned to the room, Su Mo Jiaran wasn't there. He subconsciously tapped his phone to call her only to realize he didn't have her contact.
With no choice left, he went to the security room to check out the cctv recordings.
"President Si, may I help you?" As soon as the technician saw Si Junyan entering, he hurriedly stood up. He wondered if he had done anything wrong to witness his presence here.
"Just show me the recording of the fifth floor from 10.30 to till now." He replied gravely.
"Yes, yes. I will be on it right now. Sir, please." The technician was in dilemma as he got hit by his own chair when turning around to check the computer screen only to realize he hasn't offered a seat to Si Junyan. Hence, he hastily pulled out a chair from another side and gestured to him to have a seat.
The technician turned on the recording then. But there was no sign of Su Mo Jiaran infact none has gotten out of the room after Si Junyan.
Although the technician didn't notice it, Si Junyan wasn't a fool who can't even tell a difference. Nor were there any recordings of anyone coming out from the room neither Si Junyan entering nor coming out were captured in there as well.
Si Junyan directly called the director of the hospital only to tell him one thing,
"Your security system is baggage." Then he left the room with a gloomy face.
The technician had no idea what happened or what he did. The moment he heard the words from Si Junyan's mouth his legs started to tremble. He was doomed to be fired today.
Si Junyan went back to the room to check that if she has returned or not but found it empty again.
Suddenly, a smirk curved in his face as he was reminded of something. He left the room again and headed to the top VVIP floor.
The moment he opened the door of Yan Shu's room, he finally saw the person he was looking for.
"There you are." He quizzically smiled at her.
"Thought I'd better pay a visit to my idol." She rubbed her nose in a way that hid half of her face to avoid getting seen guilty.
"You should've just let me know before you came." He then walked into the room.
"You weren't there, remember?"
"You could've waited for me or just leave a note?" He took a seat beside and raised his eyebrows.
Yan Shu downturned her head. She wondered why she was feeling guilty for visiting herself.
Seeing that she had no intention of replying to him he cleared his throat and said, " Or you can just save my contact in your phone."
Yan Shu was dumbfounded.
'Boy, you could've just asked me if you wanted my contact. What's the thing with going round!'
At first, Yan Shu felt guilty getting reprimanded by Si Junyan but when she heard him asking to save his contact, she forgot what guilty meant. All she knew was a disdainful feeling towards the man.
"Are you flirting with me right now?" She sneered at him.
"Miss Su, it is for future convenience." He smiled coyly.
"Sure." Yan Shu chuckled and then handed her phone to let Si Junyan type his number.
"President Si, I wonder if you spend so many efforts for every other acquaintance you have like her?" She darted a look at him.
"I can do the same for you if you want." He narrowed his eyes and grinned.
"Haha.. no need. The Su's are enough." Her eyes fluttered constantly.
'This damn pervert!'
Si Junyan glanced at her red ears. It was just like the day one when they bumped into each other in this very hospital. The blushed face was what made him interested in her. The major part was her smile carried a familiarity. The familiarity wasn't the same as the kid Su Mo Jiaran had but rather similar to lil Yan.
He wasn't close to Su Mo Jiaran. The only times they met were very few and he had always considered her as a little sister.
This time, the past Su Mo Jiaran was nowhere to be seen. Although he had heard that Su Mo Jiaran was no longer bubbly but a stone-hearted person he didn't think much. But when he actually met her, she was neither rather she gave off a similar vibe of his lil Yan.
"I've also heard that Miss Su doesn't have any interest in entertainment industry. How come you are such a die-hard fan of Yan Shu to visit her often?" His brows furrowed more as he focused his gaze on her.
Yan Shu stiffened. The last thing she wanted was being caught and not being able to explain. Afterall, she herself doesn't know the answer. She blinked excessively. After gritting her teeth to calm herself down she tilted her head and gazed at him.
"Master Si, what I like to do is none of your concern and I also don't see any appropriate reason to give you the answer." She sneered.
"She's lucky to have fans like you who loves her so much. Please, continue supporting and loving her." There was a hint of unhappiness yet regret in his tone.
Although Yan Shu wasn't certain which one of it is, but the way Si Junyan was staring at the person lying on the bed, it was obvious that their relation wasn't as simple as he described it to be.
"Does she have any chance of waking up?" Following his gaze she also shifted her focus at herself.
"Her situation is rather complicated. She is neither improving nor depressing. We are just waiting for a miracle now." Si Junyan leaned back.
Yan Shu looked at him from sideways. His face has softened now than before. It seemed like all of his patience has been drained and he's just waiting for the light to come.
Yan Shu pondered on how this could be possible. She had someone who cared for her, who held a great affection towards her, yet she had no idea who he was. She couldn't help but imagine if she was still Yan Shu, will she be able to know him ever!
"Is she the one who you have in your mind?" Yan Shu remembered Su Jiacheng telling her that Si Junyan had someone he liked. Although she didn't want to believe that it may be her, she couldn't help asking it to him cause the way he looks at her, the way his aura changes just at the mention of her it wasn't hard to imagine who he likes.
Si Junyan gazed at her. He was surprised that she has figured it out so quickly. He swore to never take a 16-year-old kid simply. These gen Z kids are so smart.
"Hm... second brother must be the one who told you." He didn't see any reason to lie to her. She was bound to know sooner or later.
Yan Shu just nodded.
