Kapitel 17: Chapter-17 Humiliation

"Is your daughter already present at the college?" Elliana asked as soon as the car stopped at the entrance of the main building.

"Yes, princess. I had informed her beforehand, and she must be waiting for us near the reception area," Miss Zoya said, and Elliana looked out of the window before evening the mask on her face.

She didn't want anyone to see who she was or what she looked like. The prince was unaware of this adventure of hers, and she wanted to keep it that way.

As soon as she set foot on the ground, the students who were here to enroll started stopping what they were doing and looked around the car to see who it was.

The energy and vibes she oozed of a mafia boss's wife were no joke. And was she not? The wife of the most dangerous prince of all?

She was currently wearing a light blue sundress that flowed to her knees. It was both humble and royal. A brown-colored hat protected people from seeing who she actually was along with her mask. Her long brown hair cascaded on her left shoulder, and soft curls on her other side made everyone wonder what kind of beauty it was.

Her pretty long legs and slender arms with long fingers made them curious about her face, and Miss Zoya thinned her lips, seeing how much attention the princess was getting. The princess was extremely beautiful. There was no doubt about it. However, Zoya had hoped that making her wear the mask would protect her from everyone.

It was not going according to plan. If everyone kept looking at her like this, they were bound to get exposed.

"It's the youngest vampire Prince's collection car," one of the boys said, and Elliana didn't pay any attention to them before walking ahead in slow and powerful strides.

Miss Zoya was shocked to see the royalty the princess oozed out of the kingdom.

Was it because the princess thought she was outside the vampire kingdom and her life wasn't in danger? Or was it because she didn't want anyone to soil the prince's name? Miss Zoya walked hurriedly behind the princess.

Meanwhile, Elliana has no such thoughts in her head. She was just looking ahead because she felt conscious.

Everyone was staring at her, and she didn't like the attention. It made her feel like the time when she was brought into that prison for the first time. When she was being taken to her cell, all the prisoners had come to the entrance of their cells and hooted for her while tapping the bars aggressively.

She felt disgusted at that time. She has so much rage in her heart because she was about to serve in prison for something she didn't even do, that if she had the power, she had destroyed everything in her sight. However, she was a mere human and not a vampire like these people, known for their destructive powers.

Everyone's staring reminded her of that incident, and her eyes turned cold. There was not even the slightest hint of her earlier cheerful aura, and Miss Zoya noticed everything.

"Is this her?" One of the female students walked behind Elliana and asked Miss Zoya and the latter hummed.

"Greetings, Princess. I am grateful to you for personally coming here and paying for my college fee," The girl suddenly grabbed Elliana's hand and whispered, and Elliana looked up from her feet at the girl, looking straight into her eyes.

"I am glad," Elliana's eyes creased because of her smiling, and the boys who were trying to peek at her face, felt their hearts being hit by the cupid's arrow. Even if her face was hidden, her eyes were otherworldly for them.

How beautiful! Everyone thought, and Miss Zoya scowled even more.

What were these guys looking at? She was the wife of the youngest prince. Do they want to die? Zoya scoffed before looking at her daughter, whose eyes brimmed with tears.

"I hope you make all of us proud," Elliana pulled the girl, who was the same age as her, for a hug, and the vampire girl stood there shocked, feeling warmth engulfing her entire body.

"Thank you," The girl wrapped her hands around the princess, and Miss Zoya widened her eyes.

"Shreya!" Miss Zoya warned, and the vampire immediately stepped away from the princess.

Elliana sighed at Miss Zoya's reaction before walking to the counter.

"You have filled all the forms?" Elliana asked, and Shreya nodded.

"Yes, your highness," Shreya said, and Elliana's hand on her clutch paused.

"Call me Elliana. I am the same age as yours," Elliana before taking out the black card given by the prince.

"That will be like disrespecting you, Princess," Shreya murmured, and Elliana sighed. Of course, it won't be easy to make new friends with her status anymore.

She was about to pay for the expense and give the card to the receptionist when she heard a voice she least expected.

"Elliana? Is that you?" Elliana heard and turned to look at her stepsister, Madeline, walking towards her.

"Oh, my god. It is really you. What -?" Madeline stopped when she remembered that her friends were with her.

If her friends found out that the sister she is always joking about is the wife of the youngest vampire prince, those greedy b*tches will side with Elliana, and thus, Madeline quickly changed her sentence.

"What are you doing here? You want to study at this college too?" Madeline blinked her eyes like she was Elliana's best well-wisher, and Elliana turned around before giving the black card to the receptionist.

"Please deduct the amount," Elliana told the lady before turning to Madeline.

"Do you want me to tell you what I am doing here?" Elliana asked innocently, but Madeline could hear the underlined threat, and she looked at her friends.

"Can you guys leave us alone? My sister is a little shy and doesn't like talking too much in front of strangers," Madeline grabbed Elliana's hand before pulling her away.

"Now that we are alone, we can talk freely, no?" Madeline's attitude did a 180° turn, and Elliana looked straight into her eyes.

"What is with this hideous mask on your face? Don't tell me your ugly husband is making you wear this mask to hide his ugly nature. Is that a family thing now?" Madeline asked, and Elliana remained silent.

Elliana wanted to retort, but she didn't want to cause a ruckus here. They were not at home. This was a public university that was a co-ed for humans and vampires.

There is no way she is spilling ugly words here for the vampires to hear and then talk about it at tea time.

She wasn't only Elliana's heart anymore. She was now the wife of Vampire Prince Sebastian Marino. She didn't want to let her husband's name down, even if she was doing something without him knowing about it.

"What? Are you not going to answer me, b*tch? Do you think now that you have married a vampire prince, you are better than me? Do you want me to teach you a lesson?" Madeline raised her hand to slap Elliana.

Blue widened her eyes and jumped down from the building, rushing to the princess to protect her from this vile human, but before she could reach there, Elliana grabbed Madeline's hand mid-air.

Miss Zoya also watched the scene, hiding behind the pillar so that she could report everything to the prince.

"Madeline, let's not create a scene here," Elliana said in her soft voice, and Madeline, who was shocked since it was the first time Elliana grabbed her hand like this, gritted her teeth before jerking her hand away, making Elliana stumble back and her back hitting the wall painfully.

Elliana's soft voice and calm demeanor have always been a matter of hatred for Madeline, and she couldn't hide it anymore.

"How dare you touch me, you b*tch! Do you think you are on the same level as me? No matter who you marry or become, you will remain the same thing that you have always been. A mistake," Madeline walked to Elliana before grabbing her chin, forcing Elliana to look straight into her eyes.

"You heard me, fool? You are nothing but a mistake. A one-night stand between my father and your mother. You are not the outcome of love but a lustful night. Do you know what we call people like these?" Madeline asked, pulling the strings of Elliana's heart where it hurt the most.

"A b*stard," Madeline whispered into Elliana's ears, and Miss Zoya's hands clenched around the pillar.

She wanted to help the Princess. Her heart ached for the girl, who was helping her so much, but it wasn't something she should be interfering with, or it would blow their cover of being suspicious of her.

Elliana's eyes brimmed with tears at the mention of the word that she hated the most.

A b*stard. That's exactly what everyone in her father's palace used to call her. The maids used to call her that behind her back, while the other aunts and family members used to call her that wherever they deemed fit.

She looked at Madeline, who was still gripping her chin.

Elliana always thought that her stepmom was cruel, but in honesty, Madeline was the cruelest of them. She was the one who used to deliberately mess up things because she knew Elliana would be the one getting punished by the elders.

"A filth like you don't even deserve to live. Why is the prince keeping you alive? Has that ugly prince bitten you already? Show me," Madeline tried to pull down Elliana's shoulder sleeve, but before she could do that, Elliana held her hand.

"Madeline, this is not your palace. Stop it," Elliana's voice was controlled.

"Yeah? And what will you do if I don't? Complain about me to your prince? Do you think he will come running here to save you? Save you from your own species? Tell me, Elliana. Why is he keeping you alive? For your blood, or is it your p*ssy? You are such a wh*re, just like your mother who -"

Slap!

A loud sound reverberated in the air, and Madeline's head whipped to the side in shock.
