Emperor Rael heaved a sigh of resignation.

He had absolutely no idea what that was supposed to mean, but he didn't bother even contacting Rui about it. 

He knew that Rui did as he pleased, especially since he possessed an extraordinary amount of power and influence within the Kandrian Empire. On top of that, he knew that Rui had contributed priceless treasures to the Kandrian Empire in a remarkably selfless way.

And yet, his son could also be exceptionally selfish in other times, causing immense problems for others and using his contributions to the Kandrian Empire as an excuse to make other people's lives harder for his own personal gains.
