Kapitel 12: You can trust me, june

"You pussy whipped asshole," Orion seethed, his body taut with uncharacteristic tension. I felt it seeping from his very pores into the small of my back. My heart was racing a million miles a minute, thudding against the walls of my chest. I held my breath, waiting for my enemy to decide on his next move.

"Orion," Lucian warned, driving the blade of his knife even deeper into the monster's throat.

"Fuck!" Orion snapped like a raging mad man and finally let me go. I staggered forward, inhaling lungful after lungful of air into my system. I was still trembling from the shock of his assault. Not even the sight of Lucian, still clutching the knife in a firm grip, could calm my beating heart.

Lucian gripped Orion's impeccably white starched shirt by the collar and hauled him against the nearest wall, fixing him with a hard stare.
