3.38% The Man Who Killed God / Chapter 7: Encounter.

Kapitel 7: Encounter.

The ambulance had reached the Mi Hospital and Byung was admitted but it took some time. It was surprising how this hospital almost had no patients most of the time despite it being quite famous in the city of Myeongdong. In a room, he laid on a bed, waiting for the doctor.

He was surprised how comfortable this room was despite it being the cheapest in the hospital.

" Man, this is pretty fancy. I am surprised they allowed me to stay despite my injury just being a broken leg." Byung thought to himself. Sitting upright, despite the stinging pain in his torso, on the bed as he switched on the TV hanging on the wall right in front of him.

"Let's see what is on…" Quickly, he flipped through the channels before he saw a station that caught his attention. "Breaking News, there has been a murder in Myeongdong. It is assumed the Police have no lead. The following images are graphic, viewers discretion is advised." They proceeded to show the exact images Byung was shown during interrogation, this particular news outlet was quite controversial for showing gruesome images but of course, the censorship was present but you could still make out the images. But there was a particular image that didn't need censorship and this was what made Byung jaw drop. A message smeared in blood, one he had yet to see, it read "We are coming for you." This was a subtle hint. Call it paranoia but Byung could not shake off the feeling they were talking to him, just what the hell was going on?

Byung was frightened, Hayoon might have omitted the message that was written in blood but she informed him of the potential threat, however. But to think they made it this public, this was what was unsettling. He could think about that problem some other day, he needed a day to at least rest from the exhausting past few days. Before the TV station could spill any more information.

It tripped off prompting him to refocus his gaze, he saw a green-haired man with a pair of glasses and typical clear white scrubs worn by doctors. He had a surprisingly simple face; one could say it was easy to forget.

"You should not disturb your mind, Byung. Resting your mind is just as important as resting your body." He had an authoritative voice.

"I am sorry..." Byung muttered but the doctor soon waved it off with a friendly warm smile.

"I am Doctor Toyun, nice to meet you." He said, walking closer to examine the broken leg. It was quite bad. "How did you break your leg?" The doctor asked.

"I was tackled by that dipsh-! I mean, I fell." but this was a lie but the doctor didn't feel the need to continue on this particular subject.

"That must have been one hell of fall but I have good news, your bones were not broken. They were, however, fractured. Particularly the tibia and fibula." But he felt a sudden spark as if static electricity ran through the doctor's body as he gently let go of his leg with a smirk visible across his matured face.

"Hahaha! This is quite an interesting find. This should make things easier. it is nice coming across a fellow Abnormality now and then." Toyun said with a sigh of relief. Byung was surprised, another one? Why were they suddenly appearing out of thin air? Or perhaps, they had always been there in the first place, but just hidden from society. Byung felt he was in a whole new world; this was much different from the one he knew. All it took was a touch from Toyun to completely heal the leg and broken ribs of Byung. This explained why there was little to no patients admitted to the hospital, it was simple really, Toyun had healed them.

This was quite an impressive feat so how did he keep it under the wraps? He should be renowned as one of the best doctors going by this with media exposure to match but this was not the case, he had managed to remain relatively unknown throughout the city of Myeongdong.

"There you go, all healed. It was nice running into one of my own. You know what, this one is on me." Toyun said with a broad, warm smile. Using his index finger, he pushed his glasses up his nose bridge.

"You are as good as new but we cannot allow you to leave today due to obvious reasons. It'd be weird if a broken leg got healed in an instant, Byung. Wouldn't it?" Toyun asked rhetorically just before walking out of the room.

"Man, just what the hell is going on…" Byung thought as he now laid down on the bed, about to catch some much-needed rest but just then, a white-haired lady walked in with blue scrubs.

"Hey, it's fine. The doctor already saw me." Byung said nervously, trying to make her leave him but then again, she was quite the looker.

"Hi, I am Chaewon. You must be Byung." She said with an innocent smile.

Meanwhile, Kwan and Cho were walking home as they had the day off, they had specifically requested it to welcome Byung back but to think they had sent him to the hospital instead was quite laughable at best. "I feel really bad" Kwan said in a remorseful voice but not waiting for Cho to reply, he continued, "We did not even get to find out why he was arrested but I guess it was a misunderstanding. It is Byung after all. Hahaha." Kwan glanced at Cho after uttering these words only to see him with headphones on immersed deeply with his phone, presumably chatting on his socials, making it pretty obvious he was not listening. This infuriated Kwan.

"You stupid fool! Maybe it is your leg I should have broken." He said, sure Cho was not listening but unfortunately for him, he heard this very last sentence due to his music tempo dropping, reaching a flat note.

"Huh? So, you broke it intentionally?" Cho asked, but Kwan. Before Kwan could even defend himself. He would say like a child reporting the wrongdoings of his siblings.

"I am telling, I am telling, I am telling." He said, all the while looking at his phone, never glancing up to look at Kwan.

"No Cho! You are getting it wrong!" Kwan shouted.

"La la la, I can't hear you..." Cho sang mockingly.

"Excuse me, I am lost." A hoarse-voiced man said, his hands stretched forward, but just before Kwan could look back to see who spoke, a louder voice got his attention "Hey! Muscle-head!" It said, jerking his head in that direction quickly. It was A-Yeong and her brother but looked back to where the first voice came from. "Huh?" He muttered, there was no one there, but he was certain he heard a voice. Not one to give much thought into such trivial things, he would brush it aside.

"Hey, I told you to stop calling me that." Kwan responded to her, they seemed to be on casual terms, to say the least, they were not strangers but Kwan always felt something was off-putting about her but he could not quite make it out. She did not respond to him as this was her first-time seeing Cho in person. He was even better looking than in his pictures, A-Yeong's eyes tried to meet his but Cho's furrowed his brows in absolute disgust before returning his attention to his phone.

A-Yeong cleared her throat, clearly embarrassed, refocusing her attention on Kwan. "Fine, fine. I heard from Eunsuh you were looking for me." A-Yeong said with a cheeky smile before continuing "Do you want to finally confess your love for me? How you admired me from day 1..." A-Yeong maintained her cheeky smile throughout but a single word was enough to destroy the momentum she thought she had gone and that was "Gross." muttered by Cho in which Kwan burst out laughing but Dohyun seemed bothered by something. He could feel something was present but the fact that it was hidden made it quite obvious they were being watched.

"Hey, you guys should keep quiet for a bit." He warned, he was rarely one to talk but when he did at times like these, it was because something was wrong.

"What is wrong, Dohyun?" Asked Kwan but he noticed Dohyun darting his head quickly in all directions as if looking for something, this was unsettling as the others followed suit. But the fact that Abnormalities were practically unknown to society and the twins planned to keep it that way.

From the shadows, Jin-Hyuk emerged and the air became 10 times denser. The killing intent was so tense, Kwan and Cho felt like they were suffocating on their saliva. Both dropping to their knees but a simple aura burst from Dohyun nullified this effect in an instant. But Kwan and Cho had already gone unconscious.

"Ho? You noticed me." A man said in a calm but off-putting voice and out the dark alley he stepped forth. Jin-Hyuk had finally made his move.
