Kapitel 126: The Four Seasons of Warning

As a bell rang across the streets and across the walls and roofs for each house that came by, what followed by this ringing was the sudden lost of all sense of light in the dark night...

But as it happens, not a single person sounded off as being afraid of this occurrence, what only ever came for this sudden development was the traditional solo sensational tune of a young woman who danced on top of a wooden tower. A woman who was dubbed to be a candidate of hosting the welcoming of an incoming saint. A woman covered with a glitter-like material all over her body to showcase her very presence.

With her unique sense of dance that shouts with the sense of tradition and culture, the people surrounding the wooden tower also followed by with a simple chant…a chant that praises a certain saint of name.

Even in the dark, she dances under the lunar eclipse, and by its light, the woman was showered and was seen glowing in such beauty, glowing in the beauty brought by the substance scattered all over her skin.

She danced along to the tune of the ringing bell that no one knows where it comes from, but to its tune and rhythm, the woman's dance was made very captivating.

"...He's coming." said Mark as he stares to the woman dancing on top of the tower.

And as the woman continues to dance, the ringing sound of the bell begins to hasten even further and faster than ever before, which resulted in the woman dancing even faster but as graceful as ever.

The people were getting excited as the bells rang and rang and rang…and rang… until finally--

For unto the ten thousandth ringing, it suddenly came into a halt.

Everyone braced themselves as they watched unto a certain direction.

What came after was the sound of a giant birds wing flapping across the sky.

*~Fwoosh~*

*~Fwoosh~*

Two sounds of wings that caused the trees surrounding the streets to bend like rubber.

And on the sound of this magnanimous entity, up beyond the sky, was the sight of a giant black feathered beast.

One that was seemingly showcasing themselves in their presence to be seen.

"He's here." said Elven as he looked rather nervous at the sight of this beast-like bird.

Its entire presence was so large, that he was seemingly blocking off the light coming from the lunar eclipse. With a size that was seemingly over 100 meters in size and width, the bird was a presence truly known throughout the island as its guardian.

With its wings spanned across the sky, four spheres appeared before his span.

The first one showed the people the bright green color of summer. A time of a brand new even time for harvest. But instead of showcasing the people a good future, the bird showed a flaming eruption from a volcano. To this sign, the people were shocked…and the smiles on their faces disappeared. It was a sign…a sign of great tragedy…a natural tragedy.

The second sphere came out with a light orange sphere that. One that tells of the season of autumn. Its orange and downing color turned into a grayish color that seemed to show a symbol of a bearing ripe apple. As this image from the sphere was shown, the smiles of the people grew In a clear sign of a good harvest for their plants and vegetation.

The third sphere of light sphere came out with the color of the light-blue where it signified the season of winter. Like one would claim to think, winter is a time where no plants can bare to survive. But to the guardian's show in its sphere, it showed the signs of a overflowing rain of fish from the sea. It meant that fishing season would be a focus during winter.

The fourth sphere of light show-cased the color of spring which showed the color of the sun, which was yellow. To their surprised, the black-feathered beast showcased a rampaging monster that tragically ruins the natural order of the environment in the forest. Hibernation was over and the carnivorous beast would erupt from their slumber. It was a bad sign to go hunting.

Seeing these signs appear at their seasons of comprehension, the bird closed its wings and disappeared from the sights of the people in a quick flash.

And by then, the eclipse ended and the people stood with a frown on their faces.

"This is bad…to think that those are the future of our year's events." said Eloise as she looked rather nervous.

"Not all of them are bad…what's only bad about this is the summer prediction and the spring prediction. A volcano erupting means something bad might happen regarding a volcano in the island and hunting is just hunting." said Mark.

"There's over a hundred volcanoes found on this island, its pretty bad if you think about it…" said Elven.

"Summer's approaching any day now knowing that today's August…heck, today's summer itself, the people aren't ready for the tragedy that's going to come." said Mark.

"Well, we shouldn't really involve ourselves in this…those signs are for the villagers of this island. We have something more urgent to attend to anyway." said Tenshin. Saying as if she didn't care for it.

From their tone of speaking, it didn't seem like they were all that worried. After all, that message was for the people of this island, not the clan itself. The masters of the clan can easily take care of something like a volcano if permitted by the elders on their decision. Just like what was told of Hamil, the message was simply for the people who live their lives in this island. The clans have something else to take care of.

With that said, the group started walking away from the festival and making their way down the stairs.

"...Where are you guys going?" asked Hamil.

"Like we said, to the sea…we're going swimming." said Elven.

"You want to come?" asked Tenshin in a kind manner.

"...No, I have something else to do. Maybe next time." said Hamil as he declined their offer.

"Is that so? Okay then. We'll see you tomorrow, on your first trial. So take a good night's rest okay." said Tenshin as she and the group decided to go to the shore.

With Hamil on his own, he looked to the sky and saw the moon shine so brightly.

"...Tomorrow's going to be a rough day." he said as he looked down and started making his way to his owls.

With the owls who were right by the children, as soon as he called for them, they simply responded by marching to his way.

Although the children were saddened by this, they adults went and gathered the kids to go home it seemed like it was finally time to go home for the youngsters.

Seeing as how shocking those messages were, it wouldn't really be so surprising to find that some of the villagers were scared and disappointed for the upcoming nature of their season.

As Hamil remained with the owls, he decided to move somewhere more quiet, far away from the festival itself.

With that in mind, he moved up the stairs and further near to the clan itself.

Having made way to at least the 5000th staircase, he stopped and sat by to see the stars that were shining up in the sky.

"..." not a single thought was processing in his mind at the moment, as all he thought of was the sight of the beautiful star-filled sky.

"Are you going to continue on just sitting here until the festival is over?" asked a certain familiar voice. The voice that was clearly from Aunt Mary's tone.

"...probably." said Hamil as he enjoyed the peace of his surroundings.

"Were you surprised by the sight of St. Gara? He's pretty big right?" asked Mary as she looked wanting to see his reactions.

"...I've seen bigger." said Hamil.

"Bigger? Llike what? A dragon perhaps?" she asked, curiously.

"...No, but close I think…" he said, making it more difficult for Mary to figure out.

"Well…if there's anything bigger than our saint, I doubt its anything that compares to his authority." said Mary.

"..." but hamil only remained silent in this matter.

"..."

"..."

After that talk, the two remained quiet as if waiting for the other to talk first.

"...say, I wanted to give you something." but to the impatience of the moment, Mary spoke first.

"?" having being curious, Hamil turned to her, away from the sky.

"...Here." and to her slowly passing hand, she gave him a key with a wooden plague on it.

"What is this?" having to be curious about it, Hamil turned to see what was written on the plague, and to his surprise, it was a name that signified his family.

[CRUX]

"...It's the key to your house. " she said.

"...Why are you giving this to me?" he asked.

"Because its yours…there's nothing else to it." she said in a rather sullen tone. As if she was scared of something but at the same time, acting all proud and brave in front of him.

"..." having stared at the key, he suddenly stood up from the staircase and made his way down.

"Where are you going?" she asked.

"...I'm going there." he said with a rather monotonous low tone.

"...!?" to her shock, she was surprised to see that Hamil was quickly willing to visit his home after such a long time…

To her knowledge, Hamil had never really lived in that home other than the fact that he was still a infant back then. By the time he was four years old, he was quickly taken away to the clan to train. Four years of being inside a home isn't enough for a child to produce a since of consciousness to perceive what life was truly. Four years…from being an infant to being four years old is simply filled with blank memories.

So for him to want ot go there, she wondered if he even knows where his own house is.

"...I"ll take you there. I'm pretty sure you don't know where it is, so I'll take you there." she said, repeating what she said and feeling nervous all abut it.

"...Okay." having agreed, the two made their way down at a slow pace.

***

Out in the distance, beyond the sight of the moon and beyond the sight of the clouds, an eye so endearing, looked down on a single boy.

"...he must be the one." asked the tone of an indescribable voice, a voice of many voices.

All by this person's lonesome, him with his angel wings and thorny spear, looked down on the island with such a crooked smile on his face.

"Well, a contract is a contract…lets just finish this and get back heaven."

"Tsk…tsk…tsk…to think that a fool would employ an angel to come to my home…" all of a sudden, a voice out of nowhere appeared at the back of the angel's head.

'!?" having quickly turned around, the angel swung his spear with upmost speed that it caused the clouds to dissipate.

But it touched nothing.

"Who are you?" asked the voice.

"I can ask you the same thing." said the angel.

But as he did, a sword suddenly came out of nowhere and impaled the two wings on his back.

'!!"

To his surprise, he grew another pair of wings…wings made with the vibrant color of the rainbow.

"...Sprouting another pair of wings, knowing that your falling either way, are you one of the foolish mercenary angels?" asked the voice.

"...step back, otherwise, I'll crush this entire island…" said the angel with a threatening voice.

"...try it, you lowlife." and to his response, the voice appeared in pure physical form. The form that was none other than master Yukashi.

And to his appearance, two swords appeared before his hands, swords that were engraved with the form of the icy view of a dragon.

"!!" to his taunt, the angel quickly brought his spear to the sky and made it turn into the sight of a raining spectacle.

A rain of spear started falling from the sky and to this response, Yukashi simply turned to the angel with the face of a demon and swung his sword effortlessly.

One swing.

That was all it took to end the battle.

The next second that passed, all spears that were supposed to rain, crumbled like decaying ash, and what stood to remain was the upper body of a decapitated angel.

"Tell me, who sent you? And who was your target, mercenary?" asked Yukashi.

"Khk~!" the angel struggled to speak as his throat was grabbed on tightly.

"A-a boy-" as the angel spoke, he showed the picture of what was seemingly the face of Hamil.

"Who sent you here." in his calm question, he tightened his grip.

"!!!" and the angel struggled even more.

"T-the great father of the demons!" spoke the angel.

"!?" Yukashi was surprised to hear this from the mercenary angel…and to his curiosity, he looked to the angel with a seemingly angry demon-like expression again.

But to his anger, he killed the angel on his hands.

"..." he threw the corpse away to the ocean and he remained floating in the sky.

"So, what do you think of this matter?" asked another incoming voice.

"...I don't know…but one thing's for sure, Hamil is the target." said Yukashi to the voice.
