Celine's POV

Chloe's words kept ringing and echoing in my ears. I needed to see my people but I needed Jake's permission and I was supposed to do that without giving the truth away.

"Jake what the heck were the both of you discussing!" Anabelle slammed the door harshly.

"Don't talk to me in that manner, woman!" Jake growled back.

I was in the living room when they entered. I had slept off on the couch after cleaning. I decided to take my leave seeing that they were arguing.

"And where do you think you're going?" Anabelle called me.

"To my room?" I wasn't in the right state to argue with any of them.

"What's the noise about it's late?" Chloe came downstairs and she was in her nightwear.

"Did you touch any of my things?" She held my arms too tightly that I could feel the blood pulsating.

"And why would i?" I replied.

Chloe looked at me quickly before glancing away.
