"They claimed that I am their Alpha's mate." The woman named Lyle said. "I thought it is important that you know the reason why they raised the amount that they are charging for keeping us safe."

"But you are not his mate?"

"How old are you this year?" Jude asked.

"I presume this isn't the first time that he claimed someone is his mate?"

"You are correct. We have sent her another woman in the past. We have not heard from her since."

"Can you really keep us safe?"

"But my father said that— " Lyle suddenly got up and removed her clothing which only surprised the two. Both Francheska and Jude stared at each other. "I am willing to give you anything as long as you keep us safe."

"I think you got this all wrong," Jude said. "Please leave this room, Miss Lyle. I have no interest in you."
