Kapitel 4: Chapter 3: The 1st Miracle
Time continued to pass and things were quite peaceful for all of us as a whole.
"Where is my blue ribbon?! Maky, did you touch it?! Give it back!!" That was until Leia invaded my space with accusations.
"No... Why would I even? I don't need your ribbon for anything." I question the basis of it.
"I don't know! You're weird and sometimes do crazy stuff. This feels like something you would do!" She keeps saying things without any proof.
"But I didn't. If you don't want anything else, I'm busy right now." I turn away from her and start meditating.
"Don't lie! Give it back!" Without listening to me whatsoever she runs at me with a punch ready.
*Sigh* "So aggressive..." I dodge her then move behind her while taking ahold of her arm and pushing it against her back, and as a final touch, I immobilize her other arm.
After getting pushed, Leia fell to the ground, and I sat on her back to keep her down while maintaining my hold on her arms.
"Let go of me! You're the one who stole my ribbon! You're supposed to lose! Waaahh!!!" Before I could say anything, she began crying out loud and in an instant both our parents were present.
"Maky, what are you doing?!" Father was clearly not happy.
"Let go of Leia right now!" Mother ordered.
Of course, I obliged not wanting my situation to get worse...
"Oh baby, are you ok?" Mother ran to see how she is.
"You have a lot of explaining to do young man!" Father looked furious, which is understandable if you don't know what went on.
"Yeah. So, Leia came in here and started accusing me of stealing her Blue Ribbon, which I didn't then-" I was in the middle of my explanation, and then.
"And you think that's a good reason to hit your sister?! Why didn't you call us if you needed help? You're a man and you will not lift your hand against a woman if you have any respect in your life. You could have seriously hurt her! Apologize to her now!" He didn't even listen and is already jumping to conclusions.
"But-" I wanted to explain things better.
"No buts! Apology to your sister, unless you want to be grounded only leaving your room for school for a whole year!" Fine, let's do things your way.
I walked to my mother who was comforting Leia and said. "I'm sorry I pinned you down even though you attacked me first. I guess Dad doesn't believe in self-defense."
"What? Leia! Is this true?!" Mother immediately asked her.
"It's because he stole my Blue Ribbon!" She didn't even try to deny it...
*Ahem!* "Leia! You can't attack your brother! Even if he did steal your Blue Ribbon! You should have called us!... Now you should also apologize to your brother! You're the eldest and should set a good example!" Father came in and didn't even look at me, he's definitely embarrassed for how he scolded me... But I guess he won't admit it...
"But my ri-" She tried to rebuke.
""Leia!"" Both parents called out to her.
"... I'm sorry I tried to hit you! It was just because you stole my ribbon! Give it back!" She insisted on it.
Just as that was going on.
""Ribbo! Ribbo! Ribbo!"" The twins came running around while carrying the ribbon with them...
"So... What were you saying, again?" I ask because of course I'm going to be petty after that.
Leia blushed before running after the twins for her Ribbon followed by our parents who were worried the twins will hurt themselves.
"Back to peace once again..." I got back to my mana training.

After seeing things as they are, I found out that monsters, Beasts, and Slayers are all ranked with a system created by a mana researcher and adopted by the SAPS as oficial after accuracy tests. The classification is divided into 2 main stages each containing 3 tiers. Though I also found some conspiracy theories on how the government is hiding the information above higher tiers to not scare the general public… Yeah… that aside, the two main stages are: Lesser Sphere and Higher Sphere.
According to what I'm reading even the weakest individual in the Higher sphere is many times stronger than the strongest Lesser Sphere.
The tier in the Lesser Sphere are from weakest to strongest: Apprentice tier, Novice tier, and Bronze tier. Most people start someone in between the apprentice and novice tiers, though there are cases of individuals being bronze tier from the start.
In the articles, I could find about the situation, it said that the apprentice tier represents the power of humans before mana was a part of the equation, and just like any other tier it has a subdivision.
The Novice tier is the power-level people who read superhero comics called street-level superhumans. You know, the ones that can lift cars with effort, break whole walls down with a single punch, bend hard metals, and the strongest among them could take down 1 to 2 stories high buildings.
Next up being the last tier of the Lesser Sphere, the Bronze tier. They are just a step above the Novice tier, and have the strength to destroy buildings, skyscrapers, and stronger ones are said to be able to wreck whole city blocks by themselves if they are let loose.
Reading these made me feel weird since it was hard to imagine a human being strong enough to do those things, but I'm well aware that it's most likely true even if maybe a bit exaggerated. At least that's what I thought before I read the Higher Sphere ones.
Just like the Lesser Sphere, the High Sphere is divided into 3 tiers: Silver tier, Gold tier, and Platinum tier.
These are all absurd, are you even a human anymore at this point? Who knows.
Starting with the Silver tier, it says these people can easily terraform a whole town... A single person... But the worse is that apparently, the stronger people in this tier can flatten mountains?! Why? Who needs to be that strong?... It's giving me a headache just trying to think about it.
That's far from the worst part since Gold-tier people go from people who can nuke a whole island out of existence to those who can change the structure of the whole planet by destroying continents... How do they know this?! What happened?! I wanted to know but at the same would rather not know...
Oh... Apparently, they tested the full extent of their abilities inside dungeons... And their power is scientifically confirmed... No, that's bs... I'm not believing it until I see it with my very own eyes.
Finally to completely break my sense of reality, are the Platinum rank... What do I say about these?... They are monsters! Basically Gods among men... It literally says here that once a weak platinum tier destroyed the moon by accident and it was to be rebuilt while other Platinum tiers keep the planet from going to the shitter because of it.... There's pictures and all... I saw this yesterday when I was researching the history of mana, but it sounded so absurd I ignored it... As a conspiracy theory about a fake moon...
To add to the absurdity there are interviews of the 1st Miracle, the strongest Slayer in the world, where he claims he could destroy the sun if he felt like it... A statement he later proved by destroying a star inside of the dungeons. It caused the whole dungeon to collapse on itself... There are even calculations stating that it was a Dawrf star half the size of the sun...
(... My head... Just what kind of lunatic world did I end up in?) I couldn't just believe what I was reading.
{Hahaha! If you think destroying a measly star is impressive, all I can say is that you'll be in for a very nasty surprise.) Vandir commented.

While I was looking at the video of the interview, another video related to the 1st miracle appeared in my recommended and the title made me click immediately.
I watched the video in shock...

Wholly that's a lot... But what's with the Napoleon Empire and the Soviet Union? I don't remember the first one existing anywhere near this time period while the other, I don't remember but am pretty sure was long disbanded.

A week ago the teacher told us that we would be going on a trick to a museum or something to learn and stuff, but I had completely forgotten. The trip is tomorrow and it seems a bunch of classes are going to be there.
Unfortunately for me, my parent insisted it would be a good experience so, I guess I'll go.
While I was preparing my bag with my mother, I had to go get a container for the food, and on my way to my room, I heard the TV.
|... Things have reached what many scientists are claiming will be the peak of the mana rise before it plateaus and decreases to a more sustainable level. Even still, caution is advised as the crisis has yet to be averted, after all, there are no certainties in the world except the eternal slumber. I-|
(So dramatic... I guess they need a way to increase audience numbers.) I shook my head and went on my merry way.
I better get ready properly, after all, tomorrow is going to be a pretty busy day all things considered.
