Kapitel 7: CHAPTER 7: HOW MORE STUPID CAN YOU GET?

<p>After about two hours, Long Xia woke up to an empty space beside her. She wore her heels and outercoat and left the lounge only to be welcomed with an empty office.<br/><br/><br/>'Where is he?' she soliloquized as she headed towards the sofa. Something bright on his desk caught her eye and she turned to see a yellow sticky note with his neat handwriting on it. She read it.<br/><br/><br/>'Hey, love. <br/>I'm attending a three-hour meeting so you can choose to head home first or wait for me so that we can go together. Either way notify me when you read this note.<br/>From your loving husband❤️.'<br/><br/>She took out her phone and sent him a message informing him that she would be waiting for him in his office. Almost a second later, a reply from him came.<br/><br/>'Okay.'<br/><br/>As she sat there, phone in hand, she started contemplating of what had happened since she got married. She was able to become the wife of the infamous business tycoon and underworld boss. Speaking of underworld, how would she tell him that....<br/><br/>A knock resounded in the empty office, pulling her from her thoughts.<br/><br/>"Come in."<br/><br/>A lady, Long Xia assumed was a secretary, came in with a cup of Greek yogurt in her hands.<br/><br/>"Ma'am, the president asked me to give this to you."<br/><br/>"Thank you, what's your name?"<br/><br/>"Me? Oh sorry, my name is Xixi. I mean my real name is Xi Xian but my friends and colleagues call me Xixi."<br/><br/>"Okay, Xixi, my name is Long Xia."<br/><br/>"You have a beautiful name ma'am, just like you." Xixi said as a blush crept to her neck.<br/><br/>Long Xia let out a small chuckle.<br/><br/>"Thanks Xixi, you can go back to work. It's nice knowing you."<br/><br/>Xixi turned to leave but then stopped in her tracks as she remembered one more thing.<br/><br/>"By the way ma'am, there is a woman who has been sitting outside the main office lobby for the past three hours."<br/><br/>"What's her name?"<br/><br/>"Tang Linxu."<br/><br/>Long Xia raised a brow. "She hasn't left yet?"<br/><br/>"No ma'am. She had been forbidden by the president before to never enter the main office premises. I think she is waiting for the president."<br/><br/><br/>"Then let her continue to wait."<br/><br/>"Okay, ma'am. I will be leaving now." Xixi said as she bowed and left the office.<br/><br/><br/>'This Tang woman never learns. Tch!' Long Xia thought as she took a spoon to eat the yogurt.<br/><br/>Two hours passed by quickly and the door opened. Long Xia looked up from her phone and glanced at her husband. He strode to her and placed a tired kiss on her forehead.<br/><br/>"Let me take some documents and we will head home. Okay?"<br/><br/>" Okay."Long Xia smiled up at him.<br/><br/>After picking his documents and MacBook, the two made their way to the elevator only to be stopped by Tang Linxu.<br/><br/>"Haoran! I have been waiting for you for the past five hours. I wanted to grab lunch with you earlier but another woman pushed me out of the way when I wanted to enter your office. So will you grab dinner with me?" Tang Linxu said ignoring the disgusted looks and glares thrown her way. She suddenly held his wrist when he attempted to leave.<br/><br/>"Miss Tang!" He warningly said but who was this little daredevil? She seemed to treat his threat like air. He turned to his bodyguards ready to give his orders to throw this woman out of his face but the silent Long Xia beat him to the chase.<br/><br/>"Miss Tang, if I remember correctly, I told you to leave the premises earlier." She finally made her presence known as she removed Tang Linxu's grip from her husband's wrist. Tang Linxu turned to look at her.<br/><br/>"You! Haoran, this is the woman who pushed me away earlier when I was the first to arrive at your door." Tang Linxu said pitifully in hopes that Zhao Haoran would chase Long Xia away.<br/><br/>" You expect him to take your side? Seriously, how more stupid can you get?" Long Xia asked her.<br/><br/><br/>"Excuse me?! Do you know who you are dealing with? I am a Tang and I can crush your little self under my shoe without batting an eyelid. Who are you even?"<br/><br/>" Tang this, Tang that. You keep threatening me and others with this meagre surname of your family. Well guess what honey, it doesn't create the impact that you expect it to create. Now, it's good that you don't know me because if you really did, you would be running away from me like a child everytime you saw me. Next time you dare step foot in this premises you would be thrown out by the guards without mercy. Also, stop pestering Haoran , can't you see he is already taken. Don't ever, I mean ever, call him Haoran , call him President Zhao, you aren't that close. All you had was one business lunch with him and your father, but you let your intrusive thoughts run too wildly. You thought you would be the lucky woman who would end up in his bed, but fortunately, I was the one who did so without even trying. Unbelievable, right? Now pick up your sorry jaw from the floor and drag your pitiful self back to the den you call Tang household. Also, wake up from that little fantasy of yours soon." Long Xia finished her 'speech' and walked ahead to the private elevator, her husband and bodyguards in tow. Before the doors closed, she turned to the flabbergasted Tang Linxu who stood right outside the elevator.<br/><br/>"Don't forget what I told you earlier. I am worse than you think you are. " With that the doors closed.<br/><br/>"I didn't know you had such a sharp tongue."Zhao Haoran commented while in the elevator.<br/><br/>"I have to, since I see that you have some pests around you."<br/><br/>"You can't blame me because I am handsome ."<br/><br/>"You are a narcissist."<br/><br/>Zhao Haoran smiled. "Am I now?"<br/><br/>The doors opened and the two together with their guards stepped out of the elevator attracting everyone's attention in the lobby. They all bowed their heads when they saw the president, a sign of respect for him. But they were also shocked to see the woman from before next to their president. Once they were out of sight, murmurs erupted.<br/><br/>"I knew she was the president's girlfriend. She is so lucky."</p>
