Kapitel 169: 2.16: A New Contact
Shun Native stopped the brawl before it escalated. Everyone else, especially Yuro, stood outside the store, recovering or cleaning themselves.
"I am never buying coffee in my life ever again…" He whispered while carrying both Suno and Niko out of the shop.
"Need any help?" Uraka approached him with a bleeding nose.
"You're still bleeding! Clean yourself up first."
Tedashii laid Seto on the ground once he passed out. "You picked the wrong time to be a vegetable man."
"You know better than this, Eon!"
He looked back and saw Shun still lecturing the siblings. "Katherine, at least you must have a reasonable answer to why the shop almost became a fighting arena."
She looked down, "I'm sorry, Shun. It happened because of m-"
"It was my fault!" Neo blurted out. Eon and Kate stared at him shockingly. "I broke a customer's favorite glass, and all went haywire."
"..." Shun sighed and patted him on his shoulder. "Y'know we have cameras, Neo…"
"…oh…"
"But it's okay…I won't report this to our parents; that'll also come from my paycheck. So please, let's stay back to clean some of the mess today. What d'ya say?"
Eon gritted his teeth. "It was also my fault; I will do overtime if necessary. Kate, Neo, you guys can have off. I'll take care of it."
They smiled at his kind act and hugged him. "We're still helping out tomorrow, and that's a promise."
Tedashii smiled at the scene while Noriko was finishing up her milkshake. Makoto stood next to him in silence. "I guess I'll never see eye to eye with him again."
"Nah, that was just too many people in one place for my liking," Tedashii responded.
"What a day…" He sat down on the sidewalk. "Well, at least I got that off my chest."
"Yup, you got that right,"
He looked up to see Kate standing in front of him. "K-Kate?!"
"Hey, sorry for what happened back there. Now you know why I'm single for so long…" She said while laughing.
"Yeah, no, it was also my fault… didn't want to-."
"But I gotta say…that was pretty cool."
"…huh?" He stopped talking.
"You are probably the first and last guy to ask me out in front of my big brother…EVER. So that was impressive."
He stood and brushed his nose. "Ha, that was nothing. I was already planning whether he would be there or not."
"Oh really?" She smiled. "…pass me your phone."
"Oh, s-sure."
She took it and began typing. "Uhh, are you searching for something on the Internet?"
"Done!"
She returned it, and he saw her name with a heart next to it in his contact list.
"(No ways…)"
"How does Saturday sound like? I have off that day."
She quickly turned back to her guild. "I'm looking forward to the date…Max."
"…" Both he and Tedashii agreed, smiling, and off she went with the other. They stood silent for a few seconds and made eye contact.
"YEAH!!!!"
CLAP!
They high-fived each other and jumped around. "I GOT A GIRL'S NUMBER!"
"YEAH, I TOLD YOU IT WAS GONNA BE EASY!"
"Wow…just WOW. Captain, I gotta say…" He saw Tedashii's face lighten when he called him captain. "…thanks, Tedashii."
"Haha, it's alright. I'll get used to this soon enough."
"Don't get ahead of yourself!"
Tedashii laughed before looking at Seto. "Well, I guess I'll have to take them back home."
Makoto watched him try to pick Seto up and hold Noriko's hand. "Wait…we could take them to my place."
"Sorry?" Tedashii did not hear him.
"You can bring him to my place; my sister can check on him."
