Kapitel 96: We are friends

Before heading towards the venue, Callum stopped the car at an old graveyard. It was where his mother was laid to rest. He opened the car door for Calliope and holding her hand, he brought her to the grave. 

Calliope watched him telling stories about his mother as they sat on the grass. Marilyn was a beautiful woman. She had blond hair and bright eyes. Callum resembled his mother a lot. He had her smile and perhaps a part of her soul too. 

They left the graveyard after an hour to head towards the banquet venue. 

"What is it?" Callum asked as he saw a spec of sadness on her face. He didn't like her being sad. He wanted her to be happy all the time. 

"I wonder if my mom hated me," Calliope smiled a sad smile. 

"Why would she hate you?" Callum asked. He could never imagine someone hating this amazing woman. Was it even possible to hate her?
