POWER UNLEASHED 8
The girls came out of the old store room.
They were chatting and laughing.
"I can't wait to try my inner peace tomorrow ",Ife said excitedly. Walking forward.
"When I'm doing my own inner peace, I'll be fighting like a Master of kunfu.
ACHA!!... CHO......YAYAYA!!! ",Christiana said, acting as if she was fighting.
The others laughed and began to act as if they were fighting Chinese.
They were acting crazy outside the store room. Until Madam Elizabeth showed up with Aunty Onome. Aunty Onome had gone to see her concerning Blessing. She was looking for her.
So Madam Elizabeth followed Onome to look for Blessing.
They had checked round the place for her, but no sign. So Madam Elizabeth suggested that they check out the old store room for her.
On getting there, they found the girls, fighting kung-fu and shouting.
"Just imagine!! ",Madam Elizabeth shouted.
The girls heard her voice and turned to look. They saw her with Aunty Onome. Quickly, they composed themselves.
"Despite the fact that you girls are still under going punishment, you're now looking for more trouble.. by fighting? "
"No, no no Madam. We were only joking around "
The girls tried to save themselves .
Aunty Onome then said, "Mam!,that's my Blessing".She pointed out.
Madam Elizabeth looked at the person she was pointing. She saw Blessing smiling at her. Then she asked, pointing Blessing, "This book thief is your little cousin?! ".
"Chai!!
If you dey find person wey go kill your life and career fast, na our head mistress ",Blessing said in a low tone of voice to the others.
Madam Elizabeth explained everything to Onome,while the girls stood looking.
Aunty Onome looked at Blessing in an angry mood.
"I won't leave them until they're done with their punishment ".
"I'm sorry for what they did mam.
Pls forgive them",Aunty Onome pleaded.
"No, no, no Onome. Don't beg me",she said, acting great.
The girls were upset.
"If not because she's an elder,.. I would have joined both Ella and Hannah to her body, and beat them black and blue",Christiana said furiously.
"Shhh!!
Don't let her hear you please ",Treasure said to her.
"I'm only pitying you my dear.
You're a very good student. But I don't know why God made the mistake of making this thief your cousin",she said,looking at the girls with bad eyes.
Aunty Onome begged her. The girls were angry and upset with what she was saying .Most especially Blessing.
She didn't like what the head mistress was saying about her.
Madam Elizabeth said, "You've seen her and that is good. But she and her friends will have to finish the punishment ".
"Okay thank you Ma.
She will never repeat her mistake again",Aunty Onome said.
Madam Elizabeth then left.
Aunty Onome watched her leave. She turned and faced the girls.
Blessing sighed and spoke first.
"Aunty Onome Pls listen to me. We didn't do anything. We're innocent ".
"She's telling you the truth.
We were falsely accused ",Gracious said.
Aunty Onome folded her arms and said, looking at them, "I know that you girls are innocent "
The girls looked surprised, at the same time, pleased.
"I know that you girls are innocent.Ella and Hannah are responsible ".
"Exactly! ",Blessing said, walking towards her.
"Those girls laid false accusations on me and my friends. They thought.... "
"I warned you about them,but you were being stubborn "
Aunty Onome raised her voice angrily.
Both Blessing and her friends were silent.
She looked at the others angrily and continued to yell at them.
"You girls are new in this castle. You don't know what and what that goes on in the school.
What would I have done if your parents were to find out about this?
That their beloved daughter got punished in her school at the beginning of the new session?
Is that what you want? "
Blessing couldn't say anything to her.
She was speechless.
Aunty Onome groaned angrily.
Treasure could see how upset Blessing's Aunty was.
She Then said, walking towards her, "Pls don't be upset with her. We all too are at fault ".
Aunty Onome turned her face away.
She didn't want to listen to them.
That's when Blessing said, holding both her ears,"Sorry"
Aunty Onome heard her,and turned to look at her.
She found Blessing, staring at her with her googly eyes wide open like a doll.
She didn't want to look at her, but those googly eyes looked so innocent.
She then said, trying not to look at face, "Stop..stop showing me those big eyes ".She turned her face away.
Surprisingly, she felt someone's presence close to her. She turned and shrieked on seeing Blessing, staring with her googly eyes, close to her face.
"You know you can't resist this adorable and cute eyes. I know your weakness ",Blessing said, acting like a witch.
Aunty Onome first frowned at her, then she began to laugh.
She hugged Blessing tightly and said, releasing her and slapping her head, "You little monster!
You always have your way with others".
"If I'm a little monster, then that means you're the big monster ",Blessing said.
"Shut up!
Silly girl ".
Aunty Onome smiled at her.
The others became relieved.
"Thank God she's not upset again",Ife said.
Aunty Onome looked at the others, then at Blessing. She then said, "I knew that Ella and Hannah would take their revenge on you girls. Now they've falsely accused you girls for so many things".
"That's the annoying part",Ganiyat said, remembering how they insulted them in front of the head mistress.Aunty Onome sighed and said, "So that means you girls will have to finish up your punishment on time, before next week. Lectures begins next week, after the orientation next tomorrow.
It's almost late,we should be heading back to the hostel ".
"Okay",the girls said.
"After the incident that took place today, the head mistress wants everyone to stay safe and return to the hostel ".
"Understood",the girls agreed.
"So let's go",Aunty Onome said, as they headed to the hostel.
"So sad..
You girls spent the entire day cleaning that store room ",Aunty Onome said, feeling sad for them.
"Yeah!!, so sad ",Blessing said, acting as if she was sad.
She used style to look at her friends, and winked at them.
They giggled silently.
They went to the hostel to rest, and...prepare for tomorrow's training. Which was making them excited.
The next day,it was 5:30am.
The girls,in their various rooms, woke up early.
They had all set an alarm to 5:30am.They were so excited that they couldn't wait to get to the Alphas hideout.
Walking through the hostel's passage,Christiana,Ganiyat and Abigail were waiting for the others. They were so excited about the training. And the thought of controlling their new powers made them super excited. Soon, the others showed up.
"It's about time",Abigail said.
"You can't expect us to be here like flash, especially by this time.
Come on let's go ",Adeola said.
The girls began to head for the store room.
Madam Elizabeth was awake by that time. She was outside her office, practicing her speech for tomorrow's orientation.
The thought of speaking boldly like a proud and successful head mistress, in front of the president of Golden city education office, made her excited and way too proud.
"My main aim is the president. When she comes to the orientation tomorrow, I'll give out my speech, in front of all my students and the authorities",she said, while stretching out her paper.
She cleared her throat and began,"It makes me happy to see your bright and lovely faces.
No, no... It sounds too girly.
Let me try this tone".
She cleared her throat again. Looking serious.
"It gives me great pleasure to see the faces of the next generation.
Yes!!, this is good.
Elizabeth.. You're too much.
When I present this speech tomorrow, I'll leave everyone stunned".
She continued to practice.
She was walking up and down, to and from. Practicing her speech. When she spotted the girls, walking towards the old store room.
"Now what are these girls up to now?
At this hour again? ",she wondered, and decided to follow them.
The girls were running towards the store room,with so much excitement.
"Store room, here we come!!
Wooo.. ",Blessing screamed excitedly.
As soon as they got to the door,they heard Madam Elizabeth's voice.
"Where are you girls going to by this time? ",she questioned them.
They looked at her and became a bit scared.
They greeted her, but she ignored it, by asking them the question again
"I asked... Where are you girls going to by this time of the day?
I need an answer "
"Em... Well Ma
We decided to clean the store room early from now. Since we're not dealing with a small store room, but a very big one",Treasure said,looking so innocent and acting helpless.
The others agreed, acting sad and helpless too.
"That's right Ma.
It's a very big store room, and it isn't easy to clean up so fast.
So we decided to wake up very early, and clean it. So that we can get the work done before the end of this week",Blessing added.
The head mistress hummed.
She thought about it and found out that they were right.
"You girls are right. You have a point there.
It's good to be early for work".
She shrugged her shoulders and allowed them to go.
"Thank you Ma",the girls thanked her.
"But make sure it's done before the end of this week",she said.
"Yes ma"the girls agreed.
Madam Elizabeth then left, while the girls rushed into the store room.
They got to the Alphas hideout quickly. They were laughing.
"It's good to be early for work. Make sure you finish the work before next week",Ganiyat mimicked.
They laughed.
Treasure cooled herself down and said, "But she's right. It's good to be early for work. And that's what we're here for".
"Where could Faith be? ",Abigail asked, while looking round.
The girls called out to her, but no response.
They began to move round to check for her. They checked all the areas that they believed she could be. But still no sign of Faith.
That's when Ife said,realizing something, "She won't be here of course. She's a cleaner in the school"
"Oh that's true",Blessing said, leaning against the wall.
"So she must be busy cleaning, before day breaks.
I must say..., she's trying.
She's disguising herself as an old cleaner and at the same time, she's trying to help us",Adeola said,touching one of the statue.
"So what do we do now?
We can't just stay like that and wait for her to show up. It will take almost two hours.
So here's what we'll do ",Christiana said, bringing out her phone.
The others stood aside, while she stood in the middle. She turned on the music in her phone and said, dropping the phone close to one of the statue, "When Abigail, Ganiyat and I where in our old school, we always come together to form a dance step. Then we dance together. So why don't we do it here?
It's fun"
"A choreography?
Not bad I must say",Treasure said, looking happy.
"Oh yes!
We'll practice the dance that we did last back at home. We didn't get to complete it ",Ganiyat suggested.
"So you three will have to teach us then.
We'll love to learn your dance steps",Gracious said.
"Okay then.
Let's come together. We'll show you guys",Christiana said, as she replayed the song.
She, Ganiyat's and Abigail began to show them the moves.
It was great, but incomplete.
The others watched as they started again, so that the others could get it.
But when they got to the incomplete part,they stopped.
"Nice moves. But still incomplete ",Ife said, trying it out.
"We still don't know what to put there yet.
That's the reason ",Christiana said.
While the girls were talking about the steps, Blessing was thinking.
She was looking at Ife, as she tried to do the steps, shown by Christiana and co.
She watched it again and immediately realized something.
When Ife moved, the last step she made, before the incomplete part,it looked as if Ife was about to fight.
Blessing gasped and said out loud, "Oh my creativity!!, I got it"
"Got what? ",they asked.
"Wait.. Look at this",she said, moving away from them.
She asked Christiana to replay the song for her, which she did.
Blessing began to dance according to the step.
As soon as she got to the incomplete part,she added some fighting skills to it. Adding a part to the incomplete steps.
The girls gasped and said, "Of course! ".
"Great thinking B.
Those moves actually fits that part",Christiana said.
"So that means we can complete It with what we do best.
Oh!!... I have one"Treasure said, rushing towards another side, away from the girls.
They replayed the song for her, and she followed the step.
Getting to where Blessing stopped,Treasure added some athletic skills. It looked as if she was practicing yoga in a flexible way. And it followed the song.
"Not bad!! ",Adeola said.
She too wanted to show what she could do.
The girls brought up different ideas and they combined it together.
Now the dance step was complete, and ready to be tested.
