The indifferent expression on the faces of the other vampires only meant they were aware of this plan. "Brother? You mean one of your vampire friends?" Jade asked for more clarification.
"He's not a vampire, he's human" Stewie revealed.
The siblings were even more shocked by the revelation, Stewie Grant had a human brother. Things were begining to get a lot more interesting.
"Aren't you over a century old? So how the hell is your brother still alive?" Jade questioned. It didn't make sense. Everybody from stewie's time should either be dead by now, or extremely old. The possibility of his human brother existing behind those walls were slim. Perhaps he was lying again.
"He's not actually my brother, he is my sister's grandson" Stewie clarified.
"So what does this have to do with the rings? You sounded like the rings were part of your problem" Eddie inquired.
"They were, but I don't really care about them anymore. The Cellar family demanded that I handed my family's daylight rings to them, but when I refused they took Gregory away from me. Now I've given them what they want and they still won't let him go" Stewie explained.
Stewie's story sounded a lot more authentic, but neither of the siblings believed him this time. He'd shown he was a master of lies, so why would they believe him when he'd lied to the them before. And even if they did believe his story, it still didn't change the fact that they were heavily outmatched and outnumbered. Hearing the story still didn't change a thing.
"We're still not enough" Eddie reminded just in case they've forgotten.
"I'll send for backup. The rest of us will go in and keep a low profile until back up arrives" Stewie laid out. He nodded to the vampire that carried Jade on their way here, and the man nodded back before disappearing from their sight.
"Can you teleport us inside?" Stewie as the two witches before him. Jade rolled her eyes before turning to cast the teleportation spell. She'd concluded her spells, but nothing seemed to happen.
"Anti-magic" She informed. "You can't use magic to break into the place. The only entrance is the gate" she made elaborate.
Jade was beginning to get worried. She thought that this was going to be an easy task, but clearly their enemies were no small family. For them to even have an anti-magic spell protecting the fortress meant that a powerful witch probably worked for them.
"i guess we'll have to jump in through the fence" Stewie provided, as if that much wasn't obvious yet. It had only taken the bully one powerful leap to get to the top of the fence, and in the next moment he had disappeared into the compound. The others immediately followed their leader, and soon only the Dublin were left outside.
"Should we run for it?" Jade made a suggestion, but Eddie didn't comply.
"We already have our words, let's just finish it up" Eddie answered before lifting the light weighted into arms. Just like the vampires, Eddie too kicked off the ground and found himself on top of the fence, however the view from above wasn't as nice as he'd imagined.
The entirety of Stewie's gang had been sorrounded and were being torn apart by the stronger foes. He dropped Jade down before jumping down into the chaos. Eddie knew fighting in his base form wouldn't aid him in this situation, so he had taken his time to transform mildly before he reached the ground.
He immediately sidestepped a stab aimed at his neck before snapping his attackers neck. He dodged another blow that was meant to decapitate before taking a leap backwards. He picked up a stick from beside him and used it as a weapon to fend off the horde that slowly to beginning to come after him. It was almost as if they could sense he was different, and they'd all began attacking him.
Eddie snapped another vampires neck, and amputated another before breaking it's spine with the stick in his hand. The more he fought them off, the more they kept coming back. They were slowly beginning to overwhelm him, and he was now conceding scratches and blows every now and then. He'd warned Stewie that they weren't enough of them to fight off these people. They had no idea when back up was coming, and there wasn't more than thirty of their men remaining.
Eddie kept jumping away from the undead creatures until he could jump no more. He was now pinned to the walls of the fence, and there was no place to run to. Hastily, he managed to conjure up a wave strong enough to momentarily push the vampires back, but they recovered almost instantly, and now they were coming for the kill..
He tried conjuring up another spell, but he wasn't a trained witch, and his spells weren't as fast and effective compared to that of a normal witch. Just when he thought it was all over for him, a conflagration rained down on the creatures that had crowded up against him and reduced them to ashes.
At first he'd expected to see Jade as his heroine, but after turning his head sideways and seeing the lady busy with her own troubles, Eddie's mind began to make assumptions of who her savior could be. He finally glanced upwards, and his heart almost ceased working at the sight of the figure above him. It was their mother, Katherine Black.
