Kapitel 59: The Rescue (3)

"I thought that hit would be enough!" Albert complained more to himself rather than to Clare.

He knew that Clare could not care less about his ranting. She was busy, concentrating on defeating the dead that appeared in front of her.

Across the hall, the man who had received the punch from Albert stood up, his face was bleeding, but a smile was drawn on his face.

When he saw Albert, he said, "You hit very hard! You must be a warrior beast!"

Albert grinned, then nodded.

The man started walking towards Albert's direction, then declared, challenging, "Come! In this fight, I have an advantage!"

Albert's eyes widened, and the man taking his shirt out pulled out huge bat wings from his back. The wings were the most surprising thing for Albert.

When Albert saw the fangs in his mouth, he nodded in understanding.

"I see you are one of those necromancers who plays with his own body," Albert taunted.

The man frowned as his eyes studied Albert, who didn't seem shocked at all.

At the back of the warrior beast, Clare smashed the limbs of the dead to prevent them from getting up, and in a fraction of seconds, she defeated them all.

Clair stood next to Albert. She then asked, void of any politeness, "I want this one. Can I have him?"

Albert felt the magical power of the girl at full force, and when he saw her hand, she had a huge amount of energy accumulated there.

Albert looked at her and clarified, "Really? You want this guy?"

Clare nodded with interest, and Albert, turning away from her, allowed it.

Albert contacting Jonah, asked, "Can you get to the Hostages from there?"

"Negative, you have to rescue them yourself!" Jonah replied while Albert walking calmly told Jessika.

"This guy is all yours! I'll go get the hostages!"

Clare nodded, and Albert began to advance down the corridor to search for the hostages.

The enemy looked at him going calmly, and with speed, he tried to attack him only for a bolt of powerful lightning to pass right in front of him.

"Your eyes should be on me!" Clare yelled, offended.

The man prepared to fight as Albert went away. The mage advanced several steps, following the spirit rat that Junica had summoned.

With speed, they reached a wide square space where the cells were located.

Three enemies were trying to enter one of the cells, but a spirit of a giant butterfly prevented them. The three of them were very frustrated, but they all stood on guard when they saw Albert.

Albert whistled, "Bingo. I can feel that the hostages are here. Am I right, girls?" He asked playfully. It was interesting to see female guards in the enemy's lair.

One of the enemies, without a word, pounced on him, turning her face into a huge lioness.

When she was about to bite Albert's neck, he crossed an arm and saw clearly how the lioness's teeth were buried in his forearm.

Albert winced in pain only to hit her stomach with his free arm and draw the air out of his opponent.

When she stopped clenching her jaw, Albert kicked her hard to get her away from his.

The other two surrounded him, and when the soldier was surrounded by the three girls. He showed them how his injured arm started healing by itself. Smoke was coming out of it.

Seeing this, the girls glared at him further in contempt.

Albert loosened his tie and then said invitingly, "Well! I think this will be interesting! Ladies, would you like to dance?"

On the other side of the cave, the man who was eating the sandwich was running in terror, looking for one of the exits.

He took several things from a room where they kept gold and other valuable things and moved with speed. He reached one of the points where one of the hidden exits was, activating them. The man advanced, and when the sunlight hit his face, he felt free.

He started to run while thinking that he was not so committed to letting himself be caught by the army. Still, a huge gorilla hit his body in that instant, making him retreat.

The guy saw the gorilla. It was a huge white ape with a threatening look, and the image was strange. The man looked in all directions to see who was controlling that beast when in the distance he saw two people dressed in black suits walking towards him.

Sofia and Moran looked at him smiling and calmly both held hands to tell him in unison.

"If you give up right now. We won't hurt you!"

The man studied them and, looking at the gorilla, knew that he had no other choice.

Standing up, he said in a haughty tone, "You have no idea who I am! I'm Sack. Messing with me is flirting with death! That's what you want?"

Moran smiled. She looked at Sofia, who nodded in understanding.

"Ok, Sack. Give up now, or we'll have to use force on you," Sofia offered seriously.

Sack looked at them in frustration, and in that instant, by activating his power, he became invisible.

Moran opened his eyes, surprised, but Sofia, smiling, shook her head. Sack appeared right in front of her, holding a knife in his hand and attacked her to stab her.

However, before his hand could advance, a huge muscular hand took his arm and made him fly through the air.

When he was about to fall to the ground, Sack showed great agility and landed on his feet.

"I see!" Moran smiled brightly, "You're a chameleon! Interesting!"

Sack looked for whoever had stopped him thinking it would be a gorilla. Still, the image of the gorilla had disappeared. Now in front of him was the figure of a faceless man with long limbs and several marks on his body.

When Sack saw him, he swallowed loudly and looked at the two mages in suits. He instantly knew who they were.

"Flawed!" As he said that a part of him was cursing his bad luck for encountering such people through gritted teeth.
