Kapitel 16: Chapter 15

She walked for an hour but she hadn't reached town yet. It was definitely faster with horses and carriages. Kal was slowing her down a lot. She could leave him here and she'd be out of Umani territory a lot faster. But she wouldn't. She wouldn't just leave him here. Maybe once he would be better and able to go back to wherever he lived on his own they would go on separate ways. He was the one that wouldn't be welcomed on other territories after all, not her.

She stopped walking and looked around herself. Trees, there were nothing else than trees. What if she wasn't going the right way anymore? She had tried her best to walk straight forward but she had had to avoid trees sometimes. She tried to put Kal on the ground slowly but he ended up dropping to the ground with a thud. He grunted noisily and let his head fall backward, closing his eyes tightly. He shook his head and opened his eyes again, as if he was trying to stay awake and get his strength back.
