“We leave in two days,” Damian said, thumbing through notes on their upcoming trip. “Did you start packing yet?”
“Packed and ready. You know I procrastinate nothing. The question is, are you packed?”
Damian shook his head. “I like to do it at the last minute. It gets me revved up for traveling. Having too much prepared in advance leaves me a little bit nervous, which both of us know drives you crazy.”
“Hear, hear to that,” he said, reached for his coffee mug, raised it, and did a toast to the comment.
Damian purposely changed the subject, saving himself from a debacle with Ridge regarding packing and being a procrastinator. He asked, “How’s the shoulder, guy?”
“Hurts a little. I don’t think it’s going to fall off, though.” He took a sip of his coffee. “How was your shrink appointment with Chen?”
“For once I think he’s helping me. I’ll definitely go back.”
“You’re getting your money’s worth then.”
“And pleased do so.”
