"The owner of the house is out, but you are already giving orders?" The housekeeper asked.

The housekeeper smiled and said to the servant now standing at the side, "You will take care of her meals today. Give her what the rest of the family had for breakfast, and during lunch, you can give her a bowl of rice, a bowl of soup, and 2 side dishes. But if she would prefer noodles, get it ready for her."

After giving out the instructions, the housekeeper turned around to leave, but Lanying's next words stopped her in her tracks.
