Kapitel 250: The Unstoppable Juggernaut Tilia!

The party sat in the matchup room, there was five minutes until the match was about to begin, and their opponents had yet to arrive.

Three minutes later, a haggard looking team stumbled into the room. One of them apologized, "Sorry, we were caught up in something."

Akiol replied with a smile, "No problem, glad you could make it."

They sat down and the one who apologized asked, "Mind if we rest for the remaining time?"

"Be our guest."

So two minutes past, as the enemy team caught their breath and settled their conscious.

Soon enough they were teleported into the Arena.

Tilia immediately frowned upon entry, for the Arena was quite unfavorable.

It was hot, lava coursed like a river through the middle of the map. Occasionally a geyser of the molten rock would erupt.

Jarvis whistled, "It's Guarton's home! I can have Neorvil and him cool this place down if you want Tilia."

She shook her head, "No, I already have ideas on how I'm going to use this place. Don't let the cards burn!"

Akiol sighed, "You had to jinx it!"

Tilia laughed as she jogged towards the center. Using her War Sight she formed a bronze semi-translucent shield under feet. She then used it to glide across the floor, as if it was a floating skateboard.

She could technically use it to fly, but she wasn't quite used to that yet. For now she used it as a vehicle.

She slowed near the river of lava. Now she was closer it was less of a river, and more of a ravine.

'Is it meant to be a ranged battle?'

She examined her surroundings before shaking her head, 'No, we simply have to figure out how to cross to fight. That is simple enough.'

She floated across the lava, the heat blasting at her. It was at times like these she disliked her thick armor.

Tilia then spotted the enemy team, they were cautiously approaching the lava ravine.

Tilia made a sharp turn and headed straight for them, aiming to catch them off guard.

"Man this map sucks!"

"We can use it to our advantage, so let's be grateful."

"I'll be grateful when the heat disappears."

Someone's brow furrowed, "An enemy is approaching! Southeast!"

They turned and noticed someone. . . gliding across the ground?

"Tina, blast them away!"

A sorcerer named Tina raised a staff and chanted, "Lay waste to the energies, erase my enemies! [Chain Lightning Strikes]!"

A storm cloud rapidly appeared and several bolts of lightning slammed into the enemy. As if to add extra damage, an eruption of lava happened in the same location!

"Lucky! Charlie, go finish them off."

"On it!"

Tilia made a mental note, 'Excessive damage to the floor causes an eruption.'

The moment she noticed mana forming at the top of her she immediately shielded herself. A bronze forcefield encasing her body. The lightning proved harmless, but the eruption of lava did not.

Whilst she was untouched by the molten rock, the nearby temperature skyrocketed. As she managed to escape sweat was already abundant, and her breathing growing slightly heavy.

She gained useful information, so she believed the exchange to be worthwhile.

Morphing her War Sight into a shield she spun it around. She then slammed it into seemingly air, but a player appeared and stumbled from the attack.

It was a Thief in stealth! They were stunned that they were spotted. This allowed another blow to slam into them before they regathered their senses.

They flipped their dagger into a reverse grip and charged forward. Tilia remained unmoving, merely watching the approaching player.

She murmured, "A feint to attack my side."

The player stabbed forward, but then spun to the side. Instead aiming to lacerate her ribs. Tilia caught the arm and twisted it. Causing the player the kneel and drop their weapon in pain.

Runes formed across her body and she threw the Thief into the air. Before they could recover she slammed the shield into them, causing them to land harshly.

She picked up the dagger and inspected it, "Not bad, above average weapon."

The Thief hesitated as they stood up, "Can I. . . Can I have that back?"

Tilia tossed it over, "I'm not here to steal your weapons, don't drop it next time."

The Thief fumbled to catch it before breathing a sigh of relief.

Tilia looked at the distance, "It seems your team is arriving, perhaps you should regather."

The Thief nodded and turned to regather with their teammates. As they took a single step forward their eyes suddenly widened, for the shield was perpendicular to the ground and slammed into their back!

This was a mediocre strategy used against those not so experienced in combat. Tilia was slightly amused by this, to think they actually fell for it. While Tilia didn't mind playing fair, or handing some weapons back, she wasn't one to dedicate herself to honor. Neither was the party, in a world where any combat could lead to death they often chose to win the fight over things like pride.

If anything handing the weapon back was a ploy to gain trust. Tilia's job was to keep the party alive, thus she would do anything. Even playing dirty. These tactics remained ingrained in her fighting style.

The shield rapidly moved in front of the Thief and rammed into them, sending them flying back.

Tilia caught the flying Thief and angled herself. With a smooth motion she slammed the Thief onto the ground.

The air was knocked out of their lungs, causing them to be temporarily stunned.

Tilia raised her arm, it now covered with her War Sight, and swiftly delivered punches to the Thief's face. By the fifth hit the Thief was turned to light.

A bronze shield appeared behind Tilia, blocking an incoming ice spear. She stood up and looked at the enemy team.

'As I assumed, a Sorcerer, Priest, two Warriors, and a Knight. An odd team composition.'

The Knight slammed his shield, "Come at me!"

Tilia found herself unwillingly charging towards the Knight, 'So taunt Skills work like this against players too? Interesting.'

The two Warriors aimed to strike their sword down on Tilia as she blindly charged. Despite her being moved against her will, she was able to see what was going on.

Her War Sight quickly encompassed her body making the incoming attacks bounce off harmlessly.

She then grabbed the top of the Knight's shield and shoved it downwards. Using it as support she vaulted over it and tackled the Knight.

'So the taunt effects wear off the moment they are touched? Or is it a coincidence?'

Her War Sight changed into a shield and quickly spun around her, slapping away an incoming fireball.

She then leapt off the Knight, as she traveled through the air her eyes flashed red.

This was a taunt skill she obtained whilst training for the fight against Rygeth.

[Taunting Glare:

Despite its simplicity, it was actually an incredible Skill. The default taunt Skills required some vocal incantation or physical movements, however this one just needed a stare.

The Warrior affected by it suddenly charged towards Tilia. The moment she landed she gestured upward, the shield swung upwards and hit the Warrior, sending them into the air.

The shield batted them away, causing them to land on the Priest.

The other Warrior caught up and slashed forward, sword glowing. Tilia moved and the sword sailed past harmlessly. She then rotated and slammed an elbow into the Warrior's jaw. She kicked them away, sending them farther with an additional attack with the shield just in case.

She then quickly charged towards the Sorcerer, aiming to temporarily disable them before the Warrior and Priest finished recovering.

An ice wall formed in front of the Sorcerer, but that wasn't enough to stop Tilia.

A portion of it shattered as Tilia charged through like a juggernaut. She gripped the face of the Sorcerer and spun, slamming them into the ice wall.

The Warrior and Priest managed to get up, only to see the enemy player right in front of them!

Tilia shoved the Warrior and grabbed the neck of the Priest. The shield formed under her feet and she took off, kidnapping the Priest.

They were stunned, what had just happened? Like some enemy Boss they were thrashed! Unable to land a hit!

The moment they regained their senses the Sorcerer shouted, "Stop her! She kidnapped Jacob!"

"Jacob got kidnapped? Why-?"

"She's going to throw him into the lava!"

"What?!"

The Priest struggled to free himself, but was unable to due to that large difference in stats. He noticed the temperature rising steadily and immediately knew what was about to happen.

He pleaded, "Please don't-!"

His pleas were unheard, for he was tossed into the air. All he saw was a boiling ravine of lava as he fell.

The Priest landed on the lava surface and quickly burned, only mere moments passed before they turned to light.

He did not sink into the lava, he only burned until he turned to light.

Tilia turned her attention to the rest of the enemy team, all charging towards her location.

"Four left to go."
